I feel the same way, happy and sad that school is starting. I still have threeish weeks left. Freshmen year is a great. Everything's new and fresh and I really figured out a lot about myself last year. I'm going to be a sophomore now, so I'm kinda used to the swing of things I guess. 😂 My advice would be to just enjoy it as much as your can, face the drama and the stress with a positive attitude and just know all the rough patches won't last forever. That's basically advice for school in general though so I don't know. 😂🌻

also here advice for freshman year!! 1.) never forget that your first year of high school goes by SO FAST like it's almost extraterrestrial how fast the year actually feels so make sure you enjoy it 2.) join clubs or sports (not sure what you're into haha) but that super important if you want to make friends. personally, i joined drama club and i don't have a bunch of friends in my grade but i have a TON scattered in other grades just because of one club! 3.) it may be different in your school but if it's like mine, expect cliques. not mean cliques per se but they still exist nonetheless and that was super surprising to me so it's good to be prepared in already having that information hah 4.) freshman year only comes once so definetly enjoy it (this is where we get cheesy) talk to people, talk to teachers, learn new things, observe how people interact, go to football games, make a best friend, but most importantly don't be intimidated by anyone else around you. just go into the school with your head up and your confidence level off the charts :) good luck ! 💖

omg freshman year akdhajja everyone makes fun of freshmen so prepare for that

also the homework is like a big bump so dont procrastinate (though i do it a lot and im still fine lol) and go to sleep early or do homework first so you can sleep early bc all my friends slept at like 2 am

also join a volunteering club!! its super fun and looks good on resumes, especially if you do it for all 4 years

uhh the first week, you won't get counted as tardy so you can take your time while going to your classes but also still try to your class on time

and also, you don't need to buy everything on the school supply list

and making new friends is super important during freshman year bc everyone comes from different middle schools and stuff so you get to meet everyone from the district !! some people i met on first day of freshman year are my really good friends !

you can just be a complete hobo and ask the teachers for supplies

I started this Monday. Advice: be friendly and look for kind people. take class seriously. gpa matters every year. this is a time where you'll find out a lot about yourself and you'll grow a lot; be conscious of that sculpting and take advantage of it. don't worry too much about college/job/money. they're real, but the priority right now is you. what do you want from life? what do you want to give back? what I liked most about my freshman year of high school was noticing how different it was from the year before, people start to mature a lot more which is great, I can have a casual conversation with just about anyone now haha, also I feel like people all kind of get into doing their own things in freshman year, and also I started making my closest friends that year so yay (I made even more during my sophomore year as well, I feel like the farther you get into high school, the more people mature and you can find the people you really connect with)

I'm a freshman too. I started on August 22nd but then because of Hurricane Harvey, since the Friday of the first week I haven't had school yet. I was supposed to go to school after Memorial Day but they postponed it til September 11th.
