cara woke up early and made her usual walk to the beach. lightning didn’t go well with water, but she’s been to olympus enough to know that keeping a small distance is alright. cara thought she was in knee her head. she really wanted to walk away from this camp and never look back, because this camp was all she’d ever known. she wanted to spread her wings. but doing that required letting everyone down.

Sky woke up, peering over to the only other bed in the cabin. Empty. She rolled out of bed and headed for the shower.

kat. we need to stir the tea pot and start ships

noah knocked on the zeus cabin door.

She looked up at the mirror, and was taken back on who she saw. The person in the mirror seemed like a stranger to her. Sure, there were some appearance differences. Her hair was to her shoulders, there was a long scar at the corner of her eye, and dark circles under her eyes from her long quest. However, there were something’s that only she could notice, for instance, her eyes. They no longer held the lively, free spirited look they used to. They looked withered and tired.

She sighed, throwing her hair up into a half up half down bun. She walked to the door, swinging open the door.

“hey there, um, is cara here?” he asked, holding a piece of paper. “more transfers are coming today..”

Skylar shook her head, “Nope,” she responded, “Buttttt I can give to her,” Skylar added, leaning on the door frame.

“alright,” he said. “make sure you tell her they’re all on their way. 10 minutes away.” he handed her the paper.

The way he phrased the sentence didn’t really sit well with Skylar. It seemed like a demand. However, it seemed like such a childish thing to snap back at a petty thing. So instead she responded, “Will do.” Something inside of her had changed. It was like on the quest, she lost a part of her.

Skylar grabbed her haladie- a double sided dagger- from her night stand and made her way down to the beach, a place she knew that Cara spent a lot of her time at.

cara thought that over. “are you sure?” she asked. she’d realized something had changed in her friend after that quest. she didn’t want to push her too hard, but the offer was appealing.

Skylar nodded, “Yeah, of course,” she said, putting her hand out to take back the list.

denver looked around in the mess hall for some wine, he rummaged through some pantry’s and found a bottle. he grinned to himself, “now that’s a lucky find.” he said, tucking it into a small duffel bag he had with him.

“thank you,” she said quietly. “it means a lot.”

“No problem,” Skylar said, with a small smile. She took the list and started to head towards the entrance of camp.

noah started getting the transfers into the camp when he spotted skylar. “they’re here,” he said. “where’s cara?”

denver glanced behind him and saw hope, he suppressed his grin, and pretended to be looking for fruit. he he,d his duffel bag closely to him.

Skylar clutched the letter in her hand, “She’s taking break. I’m handling it,” she said, walking up towards the transfers.

ace walked beside skylar, and nudged her, grinning. “missed me?” she asked

“oh ok..” he walked after her. “need any help?”

hope looked over at him. “smuggling?” she asked simply.

Skylar turned to her side, “Hey Ace,” she said promptly and nothing more. She then turned to Noah, “I mean if you want to, but I think I can handle it on my own,” she said.

“alright..” he said. “just.. let me know if you do need help.”

Skylar nodded, “Alright,” she said with a slight smile. She walked up to the entrance of the camp and began to greet everyone with a smile. Now, it might be hard to tell, but if you truly knew her, you would know that smile was a facade

Collin looked around nervously as new people came into view

cara walked up and stood beside skylar. “how’s it going?” she asked, noting her fake smile.

“Pretty well,” Skylar stated, showing her the list. “Hey there,” she smiled, looking at Collin, “Name?” she asked

Collin looked at Skylar “oh-uh Benson, Collin Benson”

Skylar looked through the list, but he wasn’t on there. She furrowed her eyebrows, “Are you transferring from New Rome?” she asked

“that’s great,” she said with a smile. “we’re about to start breakfast.”

denver raised his eyebrows, “what’s there to smuggle?” he asked, shrugging. “i’m looking for some mangos for your information,”

“Ah so you’re completely new,” Skylar noted, “Well, until you are claimed by your parent, you will be going to that cabin over there,” Skylar said. She then turned to Cara, “I’ll be there shortly,”

Collin frowned “that won’t be happening anytime soon-“ he muttered as he headed over to the cabin

“oh really,” hope said, walking up to him and unzipping the duffle. she pulled out the bottle. “i beg to differ,” she said with a smirk.

“okay. let me know if you need help.” cara said, walking away.

Collin walked into the cabin and set his bag down. Avoiding unpacking, he walked back outside to explore

Mercy walked to a clearing in the woods hoping to be alone. making her way to the center, she reached down retrieving a sword from her duffle bag.

denver scowled and snatched back the bottle, “and who said you can go into my bag?” denver said, shoving the bottle back into his bag for later. “some of you guys are no fun,” devan muttered

Mercy exhaled slowly as she shut her eyes. she carefully brought the sword up in front of her. twisting it, so the blade was now pointed away, she made a few swift movements imagining an opponent. but then she tripped. her toe caught on a stone causing her to tumble and crash. Mercy sighed and flicked a few pieces of hair that escaped her braid out of her face. she got up and attempted another go

esme peeked her head into the hestia cabin curiously. she sighed at the sight of the almost empty bunks. clothes were scattered around and a warm hearth rested in the center lighting up the room with heat, as a reminder of their mother.

esme was a rare child of hestia (who had fallen for some mortal) so she was of coarse shocked to see that this cabin was occupied by her sibling/s. she walked around and touched the smooth, yet cozy cabin’s wooden walls. why had the not whole cabin caught on fire, she did not know..

she placed her buttt onto an empty bunk, far away from the other bunks. the mattress comforted her in a way no one else could, which was rather sad. she combed her brown curls between her fingers and sighed. her sharp hazel eyes matched her mysterious personality. blonde highlights rested on the tips of her long curls. she made a poker face and wondered if she would ever make friends..but she doubted it, as she has never been.. a ‘people person’. she preferred to be with animals and nature, although she was demeters niece, Demeter had not passed any thoughts upon her. “how am I going to survive this?” she muttered to herself.
