thank you💕and this is so true!!
climate change is real, there are actual data taken from satellites to see how much our earth has changed due to green house gases and it is double. that may not seem like much but soon, greenhouse gases will be everywhere and eat off our ozone layer. the ozone layer is a layer of atmosphere that reflects too much concentrated heat. without it, the weather climate all around the world would be so extreme, most living organisms wouldn’t be able to adapt quickly enough and that’s basically the end of humanity. the earth won’t die, we will. think about floods everywhere, bushfires all across. most major cities will be flooded in a few years if we don’t do anything to stop climate change. those cities will have gone underwater and those civilians will have to be reolcated, but there isn’t enough habitable space for everyone now. even if it’s not real, how could our governments take the chances and risk our humanities extinction? we caused climate change, at least we should have some pride to own up to our mistakes and stop it.
you know..I never really realised how passionate I was about climate change until I saw that^😂

it is indeed incredibly hard to have civil conversations and take meaningful action when our political parties have become so polarized and pitted against each other. I personally feel that the internet and this mass shift in speed and quantity of communication has a lot to do with the deteriorating political climate, as it seems everyone has different data sets they are working with. In some data sets found on the internet, climate change is undoubtedly real. according to other data, also found on the internet, there isn’t a true thing about it. the more this goes on, the more dangerous it gets. it’s hard for me to navigate as a young person about to enter the voting population in a few short months, as it probably is for many of us. this information revolution has its good not without some bad. it can be frustrating when “facts” are something no longer concrete, but objective. I hope we can all learn how to navigate this new world we are entering with technology that allows for such deep echo chambers to arise.
it seems in this that you were frustrated with the current state of political discourse/policy discussion, especially on topics dear to your heart such as this. my best advice to you would be to start these tough conversations and not only share your views in a passionate but respectful way, but to also actively listen to those you disagree with. the only way to improve conversations and bridge the gap between the diverging sides of the political spectrum is for our generation to lead in setting a new example as we enter this next election season especially! only once we can discuss policy, work to find reliable, universal data, and once again place trust in our experts and professionals of fields such as environmental science can we have productive conversations that result in action which can push progress✨🌙
i apologize for my lengthy response, but in short I believe it would be a good thing for you and your parents and your peers to practice having civil conversations about policies or ways to find reliable information on this and other political topics! it can be interesting, informative, increase empathy, and if done right it can sometimes even strengthen relationships and understanding of topics! when done correctly, discussions about politics can actually be fun believe it or not! it is only through practice and example that we can change the world and our discourse😌✨🌙
SOOOOOOOOOO TRUE! This makes me soooo happy!
ya!!
and what if the world ends tomorrow, we will never know...we always have to be ready
ya I totally agree with you!!
Yeah I agree. My parents don’t believe in global warming, and neither do I. But this really puts everything about it into perspective! You’re right, we should take care of our environment, whether or not we believe that’s it’s going to be destroyed 15, 30, or 100 years from now. I’m so glad someone has the same opinion as me and has the courage to say it!
