I think most of the people that put their name on it do it to try to scare people away from stealing their collage because they won't want it if it has someone else's watermark. if someone really wants to steal it and cover it up it's not that hard but it still does add a little extra work for them and they either take an extra few minutes to cover it up before they post it or they don't notice it, post it, and then get caught.

in the end I'd say it's probably a good idea but I'm just not sure how often it'll come in handy 🤷🏼‍♀️
