oh my gods this is AMAZING!!

My thoughts? If you don’t mind I’m about to RANT. Please feel free to delete this comment. This game to me was the epitome of my year: I was hopeful, optimistic, maybe even confident, but about to come crashing to earth. I’ve been calling a Texans win since the schedule was announced. I’ve been counting down the days till the Texans got to finally win at Gillette Stadium for the first time in franchise history! At least I had something positive to look forward to, something that wouldn’t come crashing down. Deshaun Watson was pretty much perfect last year! So by the end of today’s game I kid you not I was hysterically crying. Our offense? Led by Watson, we were supposed to be great. Instead Watson played more like Tom Savage than how he played last year. We had to lean on our running game again, something I’ve gotten used to after 8 years of watching the Texans. But it wasn’t just Watson: receivers left and right were dropping balls, even Hopkins(!). Our defense? Sure, we played Tom Brady, but I figured we’d at least be mediocre. Instead we could never stop them, not even in “garbage time.” Now I’m gonna sound like a salty fan, but I truly feel all of this: The Pats? Played dirty too too often. There were maybe 4 plays I saw where JJ Watt wasn’t being held, even when it wasn’t called. Stephon Gillmore has never been a great corner, but holding Hopkins and nearly CONCUSSING him is not OK. Speaking of concussions, the referees? Couldn’t have been worse. There was a play in the 2-mins of the first half, even though the rules said they had to. That play led to a Pats TD. And-when the Pats had 12 men on the field and even the announcers said so-there was no call, proving refs can’t count to 12. A Texan left the game concussed b/c he was hit in the head HARD (a sure penalty) but of course no call. And the epitome of all this? There was a flag on Gillmore (who wears #24) and the ref said it was on OFFENSE (ie the Texans) #24, and would’ve taken yards off the Texans if O’Brien hadn’t yelled at him, so he didn’t know the difference between offense and defense. I’m extremely upset with the game and I believe this season is all but over.
