black swan, it’s one of my all-time favorites
it’s based off of the ballet ‘swan lake’ where natalie portman’s character wants to be perfect. she perfectly portrays the white swan but is deemed “too innocent” for the black swan. it basically shows her downward spiral into becoming the black swan and losing herself. it’s pretty psychological and leaves room for interpretations. i recommend it if you’ve ever got the time to watch it (:

well, the way that you can interpret the meaning behind the MCs actions is my favorite part. every time I watch it, i pick up on different meanings to some of the scenes. but i mean, as a former dancer at a ballet company I can relate, in a way, to the character. the need to be “perfect” comes with the territory at first. so yeahhh, that’s why haha
