if you’re still doing this, what are some of your favorite books to read?
@-ZEPHYR- ; I enjoy a wide assortment of books. One of my favorites I read a while ago is called “All The Light We Cannot See” By Anthony Doerr. It is a beautiful master piece that made me think a lot about war and the complexity of others and situations and how we categorize and judge groups of individual souls. I also have quite an unpopular opinion in the fact that I really enjoyed “The Great Gatsby”. And of course John Green is so amazing with words... I strive to be like those three writers primarily. But I am currently in between books. Suggestions are always greatly appreciated😌 I may share more writing about these great authors and their marvelous novels soon🌙
hi there Saturn, I hope this isn’t to big or a question: in your opinion, what do you think our purpose is? ❤️
thank you so much!! i appreciate it, especially coming from someone as talented as you❤️
some questions: what music are you into? what do you want to do in the future?
@dancingflowers ; Ah... “the big one”😅✨ well of course I am not exactly sure. there is no way to be. I do believe in God, and that this incredible world is nothing less than a work of divinity. So I believe some purpose comes with that. I also happen to have somewhat of a strange outlook on the entire thing. I tend to see purpose sort of like DNA. Mostly it is predetermined by circumstances and luck and blessing and they are all unique to each of us. They may be altered by us or outside forces, but it’s always there. Even if we can never fully understand all of its little details despite our attempts. purpose is a strange and beautiful. it is very hopeful, and also very personal. but most of all it is very real. as long as we know that, I believe we are on the right track✨🌙
@ChooLu ‘s first question ; well, that should probably not be a difficult one but it is😅✨ well I suppose I enjoy a range of different things. I enjoy instrumentals a lot. But besides that and classical piano pieces, I suppose it would be easier to tell you some of my current favorite artists than trying to pin point exact genres. So, some of my favorites of the current time being include: Zella Day, BØRNS, Sleeping At Last, Halsey, Bishop Briggs, Conan Gray, Alt-J, Twenty One Pilots (earlier pieces), Rag’n’Bone Man, Lana Del Rey, and about a billion others I am forgetting of course😅 I appreciate a unique voice and feeling from songs to accompany pretty words or flowing melodies that could be mistaken for a sea.😌✨🌙
@ChooLu ‘s second question ; mmm. many many things. those things may narrow or expand over time, but it’s always an ambitious amount of things. a few of the wide assortment of things happen to be finish a book or two, have a career that has to do with art, travel and experience the world on new levels, continue falling in love with the world each and every day, make anonymous impacts on people that are meaningful and important, compose a symphony of my very own, beat my own mental illnesses through small successes every single day, and overall and most importantly... create a masterpiece out of my life.🌙
aw man, you have a fantastic music taste!! i agree with many of your choices especially alt-j and lana del rey, and halsey is pretty great. i reccomend you Aurora, she has an absolutely gorgeous voice, very ethereal and unique. i also agree with your second response, i would love to travel and somehow do something artistic.i would be interested in making music, directing films, or being an astronaut? kind of a wierd combination, but im still figuring it out💚
oh goodness, thank you so much for your answer! it brightened my week and helped me feel better about life, if you get what I mean! 😂💕 that’s an amazing point of view, I too believe in God. Thank you again, have a wonderful day Saturn ✨❤️😊
and I love Sleeping At Last and Halsey too 😊🙈
Hey will you enter my most recent contest? You could use outer space as your inspiration!
Somehow, I knew that comment was yours before clicking on your profile. You never stop being quite a peculiar person, do you? always full of particularities and interesting—yet different—perks. I actually haven’t read any of those three, and the reason for me not reading the first one is because I feared it being overrated. Oops. Up on my “to be read” sits “The Light Between Oceans” by M. L. Stedman, but I’ve heard great things about “The Goldfish!” 😊
I may have to wait a bit before getting my hands on new books, as I’ve recently gotten books 2 through 8 of Anne of Green Gables (have you read it?) but what do you think about reading something together in January? 🌼
I’m going to go into music, as that’s the only thing I’ve been avidly pursuing lately. I just came out of a “woodsy romantic folk pop” stage of listening (that’s a classification I found online that went with a new favorite voice of mine, Dermot Kennedy). Which leads my into the question, have you heard any of Dermot Kennedy’s music? I’d be curious to see what you think of him. I listened to some of his acoustic/live videos on YouTube and I truly was obsessed to a while there. I spent a lot of time thinking while listening to his music, but it’s just that kind of music, which I think is a beautiful thing. Now I’ve sort of gotten into more of a indie/alternative rock kind of vibe ever since I saw Castlecomer live. I hadn’t even heard of Castlecomer when I saw them live but that leader singer got me hooked and now their by favorite current band. Them and The Hunna. But their music has a total different vibe from Dermot Kennedy. Basically, what I’m going to end with tonight is a final question. Do you think that different genres / styles of singers and songs makes a difference on how the songs make you feel and how you listen to them? And I also just want to know your opinion on ginger bread cookies.
I love your views on all subjects and I love learning what goes on in your mind. That explanation make sense to me and I think it was beautiful, I share some of the same thoughts as you. Music is such a complex thing and while I will never understand how it is so magical, I do think how we perceive it varies from person to person. And it varies from song to song, just as you said. Lyrics, rhythm, vocals, instrumentals, and so many other elements combine to form something like a painting taken in not through your eyes, but through ears. The general vibe is the same for everyone, but no one comprehends it the exact same as anyone else. Music is incredible. 💕
Do you play any instruments?
that’s amazing. I know a couple people who know a great deal of instruments as well, it just comes naturally to some. I’ve only ever played clarinet and I still play it daily. In junior high I was the best player and caught on to the instrument really well. I got into the high school symphonic band as as a freshmen last year which is considerably rare. Now I am pretty much secured second chair for now. The boy who holds first chair is a year above me and a natural at playing. It’s my goal to beat him on at least one chair test by the time he graduates, just because he’s so confident that he’s never going to get beaten. 😂 Last chair test I was only one point away from tying him and we have another chair test coming up so I’m getting ready. Do you play any of the instruments during school or is all your music playing on your own time?
