After finally attempting the darn assignment they realized “dâmn, this IS hard” and everyone just looked at me with the question “how many times have you scored low bc it was so hard and we weren’t willing to help you because we thought you were lazy?” Not sure, lol. I’m not lazy - I’m just not as smart as people think I am, and I feel such a big pressure to be this “super intelligent” and perfect human being. The text on this is gorgeous and @caption: ik what this feels like recently i have been taking the act prep class and i’ve already scored higher than both my parents did as seniors and i’m a freshman 😂 even tho my highest was a 22 but it’s ok bc i wanna get better before i take the actual test and my dad was kinda like wow i can’t believe you didn’t score higher than that and i was like yeah well you didn’t even make that on yours and he was like well you’re smarter and than me so i definitely feel the pressure 😬 if you’re ever needing a friend to talk to abt it just know i’m always here and i wanna be open and honest 💕💕

I had a time where I was extremely hard on myself but I’ve gotten better over the years. Hopefully you will too!

As cheesy as it sounds, life is too short to worry over things like that. You have to recognize that not everyone is perfect. I talked to my mom about it haha and she told me that as long as you know how much effort you put, that’s good enough. And it’s not the end of the world if you don’t get what you’re looking for so a positive mindset helps too!
