we don't want to believe it about people but it's just the general life experience, especially for those in middle/high school (hot teenage boys are just little ax$holes). of course, that's just the Western perspective. for simplicity's sake, we're only going to discuss that perspective. beautiful people can be rude, manipulative, and abusive. this might not come from their beauty but that can definitely be used in their repertoire 2/3

so when we see someone that is hot, we're drawn to that beauty. Western society emphasizes beauty and conformity probably more than anything else. but we're also wary of it, of the person they could be. and when they're good people, it gives us whiplash. it doesn't fit our preassigned notion of how most people are. it is presumptuous but it's deeper than that. it's based on past experiences and the media we consume. 3/3
