so this happened to me. Like half the people were trump supporters (not our school, our school is really liberal and half of us are gay it’s great) and so within the group was me, who’s trans and gay, one openly gay kid, and one kid who looked gay because of her rainbow hair and basically everything okay. and we had to sit back in a debate about gay marriage and equality and listen to the pro equality act and then listen to the against equality act argument. so as I sat down, the openly gay kid pulled out a gay flag. so I had just bought one that day and so I pulled it out too and the kid who looked gay took off her hat and her hair was dyed pastel rainbow. by the time it was the kid’s turn for against the act we were just looking at him and the gay kid’s friend was like fighting for the gay flag because she wanted to wave it too and we were just all being cute and happy and gay and so he was just standing in there stammering while we stared at him for two minutes straight and he just kind of read the popular argument points on the page really quietly and slowly at the end. by the end we had to take a vote and everyone was in favor of the act. we defeated pointless homophobia with gay flags and it was the best thing.
