As for my theory/story...what if Penny and Jeffery weren't real and were just fake? What if they DID represent antidepressants and were just apart of Nick's hallucinations due to his loneliness? Think about it...What if Nick only made all those drawings of Penny and Jeffery to cope with his loneliness? Think about it; antidepressants can be used for both good and bad and Nick could get addicted to them just so he could see Penny and Jeffery more often to make himself happy again. 1.) their there when Nick's problems start showing up 2.) their there only for as long as he needs them 3.) it must be a secret 4.) and when Nick lets them 'help' him there are some consequences

Nick suffers from depression and schizophrenia according to FSN so I told her that maybe Jeffery and Penny were apart of his hallucinations. again this is just a theory
