tbh I don't know why people are offended by others saying Merry Christmas because I'm not Christian but still you shouldn't be offended by others just casually talking about something that a lot of people (including non-Christians) celebrate.

btw I love Christmas! I love carols and I'm in a choir and its makes me really happy when I sing them

sometimes I think it's unhealthy for me to love Christmas as much I do but then remember it's impossible to love Christmas too much!!! btw I'm not Christian but I celebrate it(my mom grew up in India where the best schools were the Christian ones) so we own a bible and everything
