actually I think there it was referring to the direct link of abolition and women's rights. Feminism first started with abolitionists because both black and white women decided that ending slavery was not enough if they were still going to be oppressed and BOOM that was the start of the feminist movement. Also Lincoln alone did not end slavery. And lastly, what about the other parts of the paragraph my dear antifeminist friend. While the slavery part may be disputed other things in there are pretty much clear that they happened because of the feminist movement. (Ps feminism helps men and women)

Ikr when it comes down to it it isn't liberal vs conservative it's whether you're a reasonable person (which I'm sure you are)
once again, slavery wasn't the abolition of women's rights, but men, women, and children's rights. slavery wasn't invented to oppress women because they lived in a patriarchal society. it was so the plantation owners could successfully grow crops so they could provide for their families.
