Rosetta sat up in her bed and stretched. She stood up and saw the list of people in her group.
Mylee. Yay! Mae. Haven't talked to her, but seems nice. Me, of course. Ben. Rosetta recalls the conversation from last night and smiles.

The rest of the people on the list were people Rosetta hasn't interacted with, but is excited to hopefully meet them.
Ben looks at his group and sees Rosetta is in his group. He smiles, stretches, and gets out of bed.

Naiyla sat around singing softly to herself. Her only friends were in the other group...well Ben she guessed she could consider a friend. She tied her hair into a high ponytail
Ben sat on the sand, humming Santa Fe (from Newsies). He was feeling better, and had accidentally set his hands on fire. He didn’t notice.

Naiyla heard Ben, “I love Newsies,” she smiled. WOAH WAIT DID SHE JUST SMILE.

Wynter approaches Rosetta, unsure of how to become friends. She stands in front of her, trying to read her mind. Wynter smiles pondering on Rosetta’s thoughts.
Naiyla caught herself smiling and it slowly faded back to her usual intimidating, unamused demeanor.
Wynter stands for a moment, then picks some shells. She’s always loved collecting shells, such beauty. Wynter hands a shell to Rosetta to get her attention, “Wanna pick shells?”.
Rosetta smiles at Wynter. "Sure, I'd love to!"
Rosetta bends over and digs in the sand for shells. When she finds one, she taps Wynter's arm to grab her attention. "Look!" she says.
The shell is a beautiful shade of blue with hints of light purple throughout. She'd never seen anything like it.
Ben smiled back at Naiyla. “I do too!”
“Favorite song?” she then asked, no longer smiling.
Wynter picks up a shell and looks hard at it. She looks over to the grassy area and picks some daisies. She then walks over to Rosetta, giving her the delicate bouquet.
Rosetta smiles at the flowers. "Want to see something cool?" she asks Wynter.

Mylee found her group again after exploring on her own. She was in an awkward situation. Ben and Rosetta.. she doesn’t wanna be a third wheel. Naiyla.. they never really got along. And everyone else.. she barely knew.
Naiyla sat on a bunch of rocks near the shore as she looked at her necklace with a bird charm. She tucked it back into her shirt as she stayed quiet.
(BEN AND ROSETTA ARE A THING?)
Mylee walked up to Naiyla. “Hey,” she said calmly.

Naiyla looked up, “Hey?” she said, but it turned to be more of a question.

“Well me neither,” Naiyla shrugs. She seems more chill then unamused surprisingly.

Naiyla shrugs, “You’re not so bad either,” she admitted as she played with her bird necklace.
Wynter, being optimistic, “Sure.” She has decided she doesn’t want to read Rosetta’s thoughts because she doesn’t want to ruin anything.

“I’m surprised you haven’t threatened me yet,” Mylee said with a small smile.

With a swift twirl of her fingers, Rosetta was able to make the flowers grow bigger and even more beautiful. Rosetta looked at Wynter's face for her reaction.
Naiyla laughed lightly. OMG GUYS SHE’S LAUGHING WHAT’S GOING ON W/ HER?! “Well, it’s just a normal day at the beach...I’m not evil,”
“I guess not,” she replied.

Naiyla unconsciously played with her necklace.
As Wynter watches Rosetta in amazement, she gasps seeing the flowers transform into a beauty she’s never seen before. “Oh my! They’re breathtaking.” She responds in astonishment, still glowing from joy.

“Are you and Ben friends, or do you just talk to him sometimes,” Mylee asked Naiyla. It was a weird question, but what else could they talk about?

“I guess we’re friends...” she shrugged, “Or at least colleagues...” she stated. “How about you?”

“He’s nice I guess.. he just has a lot of different personalities.”
“I feel like everyone has a lot of different personalities...” Naiyla commented.
“True,” she responded.
“But everyone tries the hide the fact that they have so many feelings,” Mylee pointed out.
Naiyla shrugged again, “More or less...Like yesterday or something I threw a tomahawk at your head, but now here we are sitting at the beach...Life works in crazy ways,” she commented.
Mylee laughed. Naiyla was right, yesterday they were threatening each other and competing but now they’re having a normal conversation.
“But don’t expect me to go easy on you now,” Mylee said.
She laughs lightly, “Same for you.” she smirked lightly.
(This sounds like a fun conversation 😂 I will be back tomorrow. I must sleep.)
Mylee said nothing for awhile. It wasn’t an awkward silence though, just natural.

Ben sat alone on the beach, the waves lapping up on his feet.
Mylee motioned for Ben to come over.

Ben got up and walked over to Mylee. A wave of guilt washed over him. “Hi.”

Naiyla looked up to Ben and said nothing. You couldn’t read her face...it was almost as calm, unamused, and intimidating wrapped into one.

Ben looked at Naiyla. He wished, at that moment, that he was a kind reader like his twin sister. Naiyla’s face showed almost no emotion.
“That’s good,” Ben replied. He turned to Naiyla. “Um, so, thanks for helping to save me. I guess I kinda owe you now, don’t I?”
Mylee sighed. It was really hard to act normally right now, especially after last night.
Rosetta traveled along the beach by herself. She hummed the lullaby her mother would sing to her when she was a child.
Naiyla unconsciously started playing with her songbird necklace as she looked back at the ocean.
(WHAT THE HÈCK HAPPENED LAST NIGHT)
Ben felt incredibly awkward. (LoVe OcTaGoN gUyS wHaT?)
Now Mylee wanted to disappear. “I’ll be right back..” she said and ran in the direction of the bathroom.
Ben stared after her. He felt bad. He rocked back and forth on his feet.
“So?” Naiyla asked.
(I felt bad cuz of the dragon stuff and then I chickened)
“So...I owe you. Thank you for saving my bûtt.”

“Of course,” Naiyla said. There was a hint of a smile of her face, but she was mostly quiet as her usual self.
Mylee started to walk. She went by the bathrooms but instead of going in she just laid on the sand. It was so warm, it made her feel happy. She closed her eyes and smiled.
Rosetta kept humming and kept walking and stared at Naiyla and Ben standing together. Rosetta sighed. Not because she didn't like seeing them together but because she was so relieved Naiyla saved Ben. It could have been a lot worse and Rosetta was just relieved it turned out the way it did.

Rosetta laid down in the sand. She turned over so now she was on her stomach. Her arms were crossed and her chin was resting on them.

Mylee didn’t really notice, but she had begun singing softly. She a decent singer, but not nearly as good as Naiyla.
Rosetta started humming the same lullaby she was earlier. Whenever she heard the lullaby, it made her feel calm and relaxed.

She began walking back. She no longer saw Ben, and she let out a sigh of relief.

Rosetta was in her own world, thinking of her mother as she hummed the tune. She felt vibrations in the sand and looked up.
Mylee was walking in her direction.
Rosetta began to stand up. She hadn't talked to Mylee all day.
Mylee noticed Rosetta and waved.
Rosetta waved back at Mylee and grinned.

Naiyla looked out to the ocean. She was silent as she hummed quietly.

Rosetta watched Mylee walk away. She watched until she was a tiny dot on the horizon, then she turned back and stared at her hands.
Rosetta plucked a rose from the flower crown perched upon her head, and made it wither. Then she reversed the process until it was a beautiful healthy rose again.
Naiyla started to take a walk along the beach as a faint memory of her and her mom doing this before she died.
Rosetta examined the beach in front of her and noticed Naiyla walking. She seemed lost in thought so Rosetta deemed it best not to engage with her for now.
A few minutes passed and Rosetta wondered if she should go and talk to Naiyla. Besides, it was just them two on the beach and Rosetta had nothing else to do.
Rosetta strode on over to where Naiyla was.
Naiyla heard sound behind her and whipped her head around, “Oh.” she stated promptly, “Hey...”
Rosetta stuck out her hand and waved, hoping Naiyla would notice her.
"Hey," Rosetta replied shyly.
“You’re Rosetta...right? I remember seeing you...” she stated looking straight into her eye.
"Yep, that's me." Rosetta replied. "And you must be Naiyla, if I remember correctly." Rosetta met Naiyla's gaze confidently.

Rosetta's confidence started to descend quickly. "Uh...well you said my name so I said yours?" was all she could manage to say.

There was a long silence. Mylee sighed and considered walking away.
(Oh by the way I said something to Mylee on the high school)
Rosetta walked along the shore by herself.
Rosetta stretched out her hand and made rose petals fall from her fingertips. She watched them glide softly to the bed of sand beneath her feet.

Rosetta stared off into the ocean and watched the waves crash.
She walked over to the sand and laid down on it, enjoying its warmth.

Ben looked up at Mylee. “Sorry if I made you feel bad earlier. You kinda just...left.”

Rosetta spotted a seashell and reached over to grab it.

“No it’s ok, I just had to go to the bathroom,” she said unconvincingly.
Rosetta put down the seashell and crossed her arms behind her head. She rested on the sand and let the sun shine on her face, warming her up and relaxing her enough to start falling asleep.
Naiyla sat down on a bunch of rocks as she started to sing again, a little louder then she expected to. It was a song her mom used to always sing...
“Ah,” Ben said. He didn’t believe her, but he also didn’t want to say anything. “So, then...”
Rosetta woke up a while later, because the clouds had shifted and now the spot she was laying in no longer was sunny.
Mylee looked over at Naiyla for a brief second. She saw her lips moving and knew that she must be singing.
Rosetta scanned the beach, remembering the list and wondering who was actually here.
As she looked around, Rosetta saw Ben and Mylee sitting together, talking, and Naiyla by herself, singing.
Mylee looked at Ben for a second and then looked at her fingers. She made the small, candle like flame appear above her pointer finger.
Naiyla then got up as she started to take a run on the beach. She was able to run 85 miles with ease.
Noa decided to leave Mylee and Ben alone. She got up and went over to Rosetta. “Hi. I don’t think we’ve been formally introduced. I’m Noa.”
She then did what she had done the other night, she passed the flame from finger to finger.
Ben looked at Mylee’s small flame and made an identical one. He looked at her and smiled.
Rosetta turned around and saw Noa. She replied with a smile, "Nice to meet you. I'm Rosetta."
When Mylee saw what Ben was doing she smiled to and laughed.
Once Naiyla finished running she started working out. She was pretty much alone...
Mylee sighed and looked down. Her smile suddenly faded.
“Nice name. I saw you with the plants the first day. That was cool.”
Ben made his flame larger, until he had large orbs in both his hands. He tossed them back and forth.
“It’s sad to think that in the end, there can only be one,” Mylee said.
Rosetta grinned. "Thanks." she said, conjuring a marigold and offering it to Noa.
Ben saw Mylee look down. His fire went out, and his smile disappeared.
Noa took the Marigold and examined it. “Pretty,” she said, smiling.
“At one point we could all be fighting each other to the death..”
Rosetta changed her focus from the flower in Noa's hand to the smile on Noa's face. She was as prettier than any flower.
“I don’t think so, but, if it were to happen, I don’t think I could kill anyone.”
Naiyla pretty much was bored. She wasn’t in the mood to sing or exercise. She just sat on the rocks alone.

Noa looked at Rosetta. “May I sit?,” she asked, gesturing to the sand next to Rosetta.

"Nope. I'm an only child." Rosetta chuckled to herself and imagined her mother with a whole bunch of those magical seeds. Then they would have a big family. But no, Mother Nature only had one seed.

Naiyla stared out to the ocean as she braided her hair slowly. She watched everyone’s movements because that’s what came natural, you had to evaluate the competition. The water slowly came up and soaked her toes as she looked out to the ocean.
Rosetta followed her gaze and her eyes landed on Ben. Rosetta smiled. "Who's older?
“Cool,” she said with a smile.

Naiyla pulled out her Tomahawk and sharpened it quietly. No, she wasn’t going to throw it anyone, she was just bored.
"Hm." Rosetta said in reply. She looked off into the ocean, then back at Noa. "Got any powers?" she asked.

Mylee didn’t know what to say to Ben. She just sat there, watching the waves and burying her toes in the sand.
