I awoke in the middle of the night, entangled in the duvet of my bed. I looked at the clock and groaned to myself. It was 1 AM. I pulled my soft sheets over my face and shut my eyes, but after trying to get comfortable I gave up. I sighed and finally sat up, rubbing an eye as I let out a soft yawn. I rolled the bed sheets off of me and shivered at the coolness of the air conditioning. As my feet touched the wooden floorboards I began to lazily shuffle my way through the darkness and to the kitchen. I squinted as the refrigerator's light shined once I went to pull out the gallon of milk. Pouring myself a cup and drinking it, I turned my head to the side to find a figure with black hair on the balcony. Setting down my cup on the counter I began to go over to the figure, in which it was Phil. I opened and closed the door softly and went to Phil's side, leaning against the railing like he was. "Why are you up?" Phil asked quietly, neither of us turning our heads from the view. The stars shimmered against the black summer sky, a full moon illuminated the night in all it's glory. London's lights shined throughout the city. It was a beautiful view, to put it bluntly. "I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep." I said with a shrug. I then turned to Phil, his profile being shadowed by the moonlight. his bright blue eyes sparkled like the stars in the sky. "What about you?" "I couldn't sleep." he said quietly, still looking away from me. There was then a moment of comfortable silence. The only noises were coming from the streets below, who weren't too busy either. "Hey Dan?" Phil asked, breaking the silence. "Hm?" "Do you like anyone?" My eyes widened and I looked at Phil. He didn't turn his head again but I could see a tint of red on his cheeks. "P-pardon?" I stuttered, a bit nervous. "Do you fancy anyone?" Phil rephrased. "Well... do you?" I asked, trying to avoid the question. I turned my head away from him and looked down to the street below. Out of the corner of my eye I watched Phil rub the railing. "Yeah." he finally replied. "Who?" I asked, turning my head back to his. Phil finally turned his head and I could finally see his full face. His fringe hanged over his forehead, it a bit messy like his usual bed hair. Both of his eyes gleamed from the moonlight, it now cascading down his snowy skin. I watched as his mouth turned up into a smug grin. "I won't tell until you do." I felt my face becoming a bright red. "I-I- I can't tell you." I stated. Phil tilted his head to the side as his eyebrows furrowed. God, he was so bloody cute at times. "You'll laugh at me... plus there is no way they'll date me." "Well, why not? You wouldn't know until you try, right?" "Yeah, but it might ruin our friendship." "What do you mean?" I bit my lip, almost hard enough that it would draw blood. "Daniel..." "Bloody hęll Phil stop being so cute!" I yelled, before covering my mouth. "I-I mean I-" "Cute?" Phil questioned, turning away to think a moment. "Cute. You think I'm cute." Phil repeated. He began to blush furiously, almost to a state of him being completely red with embarrassment. I probably looked the same. "I'm sorry Phil." I said sadly, turning to leave. Suddenly I felt Phil's hand on my shoulder, it soon turning me around gently. "Please, don't go." Phil pleaded, his eyes sparkling magnificently once again. "It's okay, really it's fine." "Really? You don't think I'm some homosxual freak?" "Of course not, because love is love." Phil told me sympathetically, grabbing my hand. His touch sent shivers down my spine. Without hesitation I leaned forward and pressed my lips to his. Phil pulled away almost immediately. "I'm sorry." I mumbled out. "N-no, it's okay, Dan." Phil stuttered out quietly. "I-I just wasn't expecting that." A smile then pulled over his face. "And quit apologizing silly." Phil then leaned up and pressed his lips to mine, throwing me off guard. I soon kissed back, and our lips moved together in the most passionate and perfect way it ever could. I felt Phil's arms snake around my neck, him pulling me closer to him. I moved my hands down his chest and rested them on his waist. After a moment we had to break away, both of us breathing heavily. I looked to Phil's feet as his heels reached the ground. "We're you... on your toes that whole time?" I questioned him with a smirk. "Shut up, Dan." he laughed out. "I swear you forget you're a giant sometimes." "I'm sorry princess. I'll try to be shorter next time." I teased, letting out a chuckle. "Wait, so who do you fancy?" Phil then lightly pecked my lips, pulling away so our lips were barely touching. "As if that isn't obvious." he murmured on my lips, it's hum sending a sensation through my entire body. "Stop being so cute." I murmured back to him, our lips brushing as I spoke. I then finally tilted my head, eliminating the little space between us.
