to some extent, you are right. however, I do believe that we cannot completely disregard the tragedy just because “it happened in the past and we should all move on from it”. just because it was in the past doesn’t mean that it won’t affect you in the future. if the people there didn’t sacrifice themselves to prevent an even bigger disaster that could render half of Europe inhabitable, you might not even be here, alive and well. or even maybe I wouldn’t be here alive and well. let’s say the date really is the best day for Taylor to release her single. fine. but I do think that basic respect needs to be paid at the same time. her single would just draw attention to it and people would overlook the disaster. what I’m saying is that she can acknowledge the disaster at the same time while releasing the single, instead of disregarding it. (idk if the single is actually related to the disaster, if it does what I said obviously doesn’t apply.)
what you said only applies if Taylor did acknowledge the disaster. or if the other people did. people are most likely going to be focused on her single, leading them to overlook the disaster.
