He's actually from a noble family which is why he has more magic power than others with portal magic. His parents died in a fire that was started by his uncle who was after the money his dad (the older one) had. Film survived, and then was beaten and treated horribly by his uncle who took custody of him. One day, his uncle knocked him down the stairs and he hit head, which is the reason he has memory issues (he never went to a hospital/healer for it and it's too progressed to fix it). He has a form of "post-traumatic anterograde amnesia". He was disowned soon after and picked up by Dare when Dare found him running from a shop owner bc he stole some food (starving the whole deal). His memory problems aren't getting worse or better, but he doesn't remember his actual name, just the guild one: Film.
