oh rlly that's school. entering ms, i chose to learn spanish. so i learned wpanish for a year before i moved away. and now i learn chinese. but i wish i chose french a year ago because french is such a beautiful language.

spanish is pretty beautiful. i was rlly good at it a year ago but now i barely remember a thing. pretty much all i know is "i like hamburgers and fries," "I am impatient," and "What time is it?"😂

but i had the coolest (and craziest) spanish teacher. she was rlly loud, enthusiastic, and passionate with her students. like basically she treated everyone as her friends. but the weirdest thing about her was that she was crazy about dancing.

i swear every day every period she would spend 5 minutes just doing like zumba with spanish pop songs. and i think the worst thing was that it was for participation points and in other words part of our grade.

i felt rlly bad for the 7th graders in our class at the time becuz they were all so embarrassed and self-conscious and would just like cower in the corner of the room. especially the boys. poor them.

but the 6th grade boys were the complete opposite, im fact literally the boys would be jumping and moving place to place, it was hilarious especially when u saw like the nerdiest of nerds dancing omg i should not be laughing😭

on the last day of school, for the talent show, she forced everyone of her students from all of her periods to dance for the talent show. 😂 she was so strong-willed. 💕She also was rlly passionate about exercise and also food😂. i remember once she was demanding for noodles the whole day, and this chinese new student that didn't rlly speak english got in trouble or something i forgot and she made him bring her noodles the next day. and the boy literally brought a container of his mom's noodles the next day and it was awesome😂

she had this wall full of her marathon bibs and sometimes like on a random day in the middle of working she would like point outside the window and be like "it's a beautiful day, let's go outside!" and we would literally just walk out of school and walk along the street near our school for while. the 6th grade boys would always run ahead, trying to race each other along the parking lot, and our teacher would always joke about how us girls (plus the super quiet shy 7th grade boys) were the only ones that would be getting extra credit 😂

we once even had a guacamole party where we just made guacamole the whole day and had a contest about which group made the best (my group won) 😂

and my spanish teacher wasn't even rlly that spanish. she was part korean part puerto-rican and she hadn't even learned korean or spanish until she was 16. and so there was this one korean 7th grade boy that was probably the shyest out of everyone in the class and she would embarrass him as much as she could 😂😭. like once she was like "us koreans have amazing words for things! like there's baka for cow, and wait what's kiss in korean?" and she asked the korean guy, and omg he was so embarrassed, and she kept on asking him, but he wouldn't say anything, so she grabbed the phone and was like "ok then i'll just ask your mom," and she literally dialed the guy's mom's number and by then the guy was so red-faced and looked like he was dying

and when his mom picked up, my teacher was like , "oh wait how do u say how do u say kiss in korean in korean?" and then she asked the woman on the other line and i guess the woman was super confused probably thinking it was a prank or something cuz why would someone be calling to ask about how to translate the word, kiss? and so she hung up and omg our whole class was dying

she was cool but she wasn't my favorite teacher. who was ur favorite teacher?

aww that's sad,

my spanish teacher used to video tape us dancing and she had this whole presentation thingy where she was telling teachers how teenagers learn better if they dont sit at desks all day long and get up and move or something like that

but my favorite teacher was my orchestra teacher. he was awesome. my school's orchestra was known for our pranks and tricks omg it was amazing. so ok at our school, there's lots of competition between orchestra and band. so even when we're not playing our instruments, there is always this distinct division between band and orchestra. at the end of the year we also have a traditional brutal capture the flag game against each other. but anyways the band ppl always had this domo plushie

omg NO!! are you kidding me it's the opposite!! no, seriously👍🏻💕

and it was very symbolistic and sacred to them becuz it had been there forever stuck in the band room. and ok it all started like 3 years ago, (Mr. Drassal, our teacher always loved to tell the story) when there was this 8th grade cello player named Lauren. and they all had this inside joke about how one day they would kidnap domo the plushie, u know just to save domo from the evil band players 😂 and one random day, this girl lauren she takes down her cello and she announces that "today is the day" where they kidnap domo. and so along with Mr. Drassal, all the 8th graders just creep down the hallway where the band room is.

but there's a class inside. which is pretty much even better, and note that the orchestra class is also supposed to be in class session. and outside the band door, the orchestra class starts arguing who will go inside and steal domo, but lauren without hesitation. she just steps right in. and she literally just crosses the room in the middle of the band ppl's class, picks up domo on the shelf where it sits, and walks back out of the classroom without any hesitation or emotion at all.

and mr. drassal says that it was amazing and hilarious becuz the band students were yelling and screaming at lauren, but the band teacher didn't even notice her. he was just screaming at his students trying to get them to calm down and restart the piece. and omg the band students were like pointing to lauren and they were so angry but the band teacher was rlly strict and he was just like "I DON'T CARE! MEASURE 15 NOW!" all the 8th grade orchestra students were pretty much dying of tears and laughter outside the band door.

and then mr. drassal took the whole class to find the janitor and when they finally found the janitor, they borrowed the keys to the basement below the school and the whole class duck-taped the domo plushie to a wooden chair holding a violin. and every single student took turns taking selfies with the domo captive and they posted them on their social medias with #OrchestraIsBetter 😂😂😭😭😂😂

and so from that day on, it's basically an orchestra tradition for every orchestra class period to kidnap domo😂. The band kids still hate our guts but it's sad cuz they can't even fight back since their teacher wasn't as cool as mr. drassal was. omg i loved him. he was amazing at roasting and burning ppl (but in a friendly un-insulting way). and he had this thing about dancing. like he would never let us see him dancing but there was this one time he was like mad that the violins messed up at a part and he did this sort of weird dance thing where he flapped his arms and rolled his head and some kid got it on video and then the video went viral around the school and mr. drassal i feel bad but we loved u so much

and this one time when we were doing ensemble quartets, we were allowed to play with our quartet groups anywhere around the school. and once me and my bffs got stuck in the choir room. and tbh most of the time we should have been practicing we were rlly just playing greensleeves on the piano and dancing and rolling on the floor, but once we did this "experiment" where we tried to play our song in the dark and mr. drassal walked in on us playing in the dark, and what i love about him is that he just sort of looked at us for a moment, but then totally went with the dark-lighting thing and he didnt even reprimand us or anything. he rlly was amazing. our whole orchestra was rlly.

i told my bff i was gonna move away 3 days before i was gonna move away because I didn't want anybody to plan me anything. and since pretty much our whole 7th grade orchestra was a family, word got around and mr. drassal was rlly sad. and before i left, my friend made me this booklet from "my orchestra family" and every person signed it including the ones I didn't know and i really miss orchestra. what's worst is that after i moved, there was no orchestra, and so i joined band. and so I'm pretty much a traitor.
