Mira and Asa walked to their first class together. “Do we really have to hide the fact we’re best friends?” Clay asked. “Do we really have to use different names?” Vanessa responded. The answer to both of those questions, was yes.
Sam bolted upright and shook Sofi. “SOFI WE CANT BE LATE FOR CLASSES” he yelled, packing his sleeping stuff up as quickly as he could.
Cassie and Ryan walk to class
Mira hugs Asa, and then they walk to opposite sides of the room to take their seats.

Sam scrambled down to the dorms and grabbed his backpack, then running down to the cafeteria and getting a peach yogurt. he then proceeded to run to class.
Kendall sat near the window in attempt to keep herself cool and collected, Chase sat next to him bc why not.

Sam looked over at Chase and smiled, still stuffing his face with peach yogurt. “chella” he said with a spoon in his mouth.
“Chella...?” CHASe asked, clearly confused.
Sam swallowed his mouthful of yogurt before he burst out laughing. “hello, I mean! I guess I wasn’t very clear with food in my mouth” he explained, still trying to smooth his ever present cowlick.

Clay walked up to Sam. “Hey weirdo! what’s up?” he said playfully.

“not much loverboy, just life” he responded, winking at Asa and giggling.
“lol. how are things with Sofi?” Clay responded.
This time Sams ear turned red. “I uh..things are going well” he responded shyly, biting his nails nervously.
(oml I have accidentally flung a pencil or some other crab so many times in school XD)
Clay nudged him with his elbow, smiling. Hehe his no-emotion weirdo friend feels an emotion for a certain pretty girl.

Sam shoved him lightly. “go buy someone else Loverboy” he complained, his face turning a bright shade of red.

“Ooh! Weirdo’s blushing! You look like a tomato!” Clay said laughing.
Sam buried his face in his hoodie. “how humiliating” he muttered, shoving Asa again. “go away” he moaned, turning his desk the other way.
Clay walked backwards with his hands up. “Okay! Okay! I’ll go ask Sofi about you!” he said and darted away.
Sam screamed and chased after Asa. “you—you come back here” he yelled, trying his best to catch up.
Clay darts all around the room. He has super speed so he knows Sam won’t catch up but it’s still fun to watch him try.
Sam slowed down. “why did it have to be that he has SUPER SPEED” he complained, adding on “he better not find her..”
Clay darts out of the room to go find Sofi.
“Ooooooh, Soooooofiiiii!” he yells as he runs down the halls.
Sam yelps and pumps his legs as fast as he could, still getting nowhere close to Asa. “DARN YOU, YOU BIG RAT” he yelled while scowling fiercely.
Clay is skipping now and he turns around to watch Sam try to catch up.
Sam slowly catches up and grabs his shoulders, attempting to hold him back. “GOT YOU!” he shrieked happily, holding him tightly.
Clay flies up and runs in air very quickly. There is no way Sam could hold on, and he soon falls off.
Sam groans and rubs his sore back. “why did I ever trust Asa” he muttered, laughing lightly by now.
Asa finally runs into Sofi. “Sam likes you, bye!” he says and sprints off before she can register what he said. He flies back and picks up Sam, flying them back to the classroom.
Sam screams shrilly and yells. “YA KNOW I REALLY HATE HIS SUPER SPEED THING” at the top of his lungs.

Clay laughs and drops him into his chair, then sits back down next to him.
Sams face turns a mottled red and green. “I’m gonna be sick..” he says, still swaying slightly.

Kendall stared at the window.
Clay left the class and decided to go on a run. He ran outside and jogged for a bit before seeing a girl by a tree. He sprinted up and saw Emily. “Hey,” he said and sat down next to her.
“Boring of course. I left early. I didn’t see you, and if much rather be with you than in some boring class,” Clay said and nudged her a little.
“Well, no. I mean, yeah. Um, I just mean that you...” he said, then started to blush, “you make me really happy an I just can’t stop thinking about you.” He looked away. He’d never felt this way before.
Kendall took another set a pills, but she didn’t feel the same without the ones she ran out of. She just sighed as she watched clouds float by.
Mike and Sam walked around.
Clay suddenly felt less special with the line ‘I have that effect on boys’ because he felt like she just saw him as another boy. His smile shrunk a bit.
“Yeah, just thinking about Mira. She was upset yesterday,” he said. Technically he wasn’t lying, but he was.
And Kendall continued staring outside...
“She’s my frenemy. We’ve known each other for years, but we hate it each other. Except it’s not really hate-hating each other, know what I mean?” he said.

And Kendall sharpens an arrow...
“Oh,” Clay says.
Clay nods and flies up until he’s about the clouds. He stays there, and soon Vanessa comes up. “Oh, hey. I didn’t think you’d be here,” she said. He sighs. “What’s wrong?” Vanessa asks. “Things aren’t so great with Emily. I told her she made me really happy and she said she has that effect on boys, as if I’m just another boy,” he said. Vanessa sits next to him. “I’m sorry,” she said and took his hand. He smiled. He was glad he had a friend as great as her.

Kendall laughed lightly, “I’m not going to stab you with an arrow...”
Vanessa leaned her head on his shoulder, and he leaned his head on hers. Vanessa longed for a thousand moments just like these, but a little different.
