ofc! we can figure out the ideas for challenges whenever we are ready to start our first challenges. I would describe sour by Olivia Rodrigo as an album full of a teen girl going through a bad breakup, while experiencing many different thoughts and feelings that everyone can relate to at times. Rodrigo goes through heartbreak, sadness, anger, frustration, jealousy, and many other emotions on the album. Sour is something you can listen to and relate to at the same time. Even though it’s her first album, she was and still is extremely young and has broken so many records with the album.

Sour perfectly shows the alleged love triangle between Olivia, Joshua Bassett, and Sabrina Carpenter. Joshua has released songs that seem to be responses to liv’s album. even Sabrina released a song called ‘skin’ which was directed most likely towards Olivia. Recently, Sabrina has also released an album called emails I can’t send. emails I can’t send was basically Sabrina’s side of the story and her emotions and feelings she felt while with Joshua during the sour album release.

How I would describe Sour by Olivia Rodrigo it’s a roller coaster filled with different emotions that are seen though out the album as this includes happy, shocked yet surprised, jealous, bitter, and many other emotions. While listening to the album it allows people to relate and connect with different songs. While being Olivia’s debut/ first album as I takes you on a journey though out the album.

My thoughts on Sour by Olivia Rodrigo it resembles a journal entry and shows how she felt in the moments of being in a relationship. While Olivia is reflecting on being in a relationship and how she is learning about herself and in the emotions she expresses as seen in déjà vu where Olivia is happy and moving forward whirl reminiscing about her relationship and what she did with the person she was with and how she becomes shocked yet surprise when the person does the same things with a different person.

As it makes the listener feel like they are reading a journal entry by Olivia and seeing it through her perspective in the songs. This also shows it’s ups and downs in a relationship or friend that listener feels like they can relate to.

I would rate sour at a 8.5/10 because it overall is a great album, written by an extremely young artist, however the only reason it just isn’t a 9/9.5/or 10 for me is because even though Olivia’s emotions change throughout the album, she is pretty repetitive with her message in every song which makes it easy to get tired of listening to after a while. I would definitely recommend this album as being perfect for after a breakup, as it gives you something to listen to and relate to, but it’s just really the same the whole time and only gets calmer during the last song of the album.

how would you rate sour?

I would rate sour an 8 out of 10 as this album shows many different emotions in each song and is good album being her debut/ first album and shows Olivia’s growth for future albums. While there are some heartfelt songs that are seen towards the end of the album as this includes Favourite crime and hope your ok the others are good but tend to be repetitive after listening to the songs for a while. Overall this album is a good album filled with many different emotions and being Olivia’s debut is good and shows her growth with feature albums. I would absolutely recommend this album to anyone as this album as the listeners can relate or connect to different songs after going though something for example a friendship or a break up.
