this is incredibly frustrating to me to watch everyone freak out about this post. i have stated a few times already today where i stand on the matter, and i will do so again. I am a christian. And im not afraid to say it. And as christians, its hard to walk around and grow up in this world and see people disobeying God left and right, and not even know theyre doing it. I think as christians we have to understand that everyone is entitled to their own belief and opinion whether its right or wrong. Now saying that, my personal opinion is that i dont support the LBGTQ+ community. Im sorry if that offends anyone its not my intention. But its my opinion and belief as a christian, and i have the right to have that opinion. With that said, people who ARE a part of or support the LBGTQ+ community, im still going to care about and love even tho i disagree with that. I cannot support them in that area but that doesnt mean i want nothing to do with them. As a christian im told to love people and TREAT THEM WITH KINDNESS (which i think EVERYBODY needs to do right now. Because this situation is getting a bit out of hand in my opinion.) even when we dont see eye to eye. People are posting really rude things about this and honestly i think we all need to sit down for a second and breathe. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Please still love and treat the person with kindness even if you dont agree with them.

Katie doesnt deserve to be treated badly for standing up for what she believes in just like people who support the LGBTQ+ community. Ive seen comments about her where people are saying theyre being bullied and whatnot and i can tell you this wasnt her intention whatsoever. I really dont want to get involved but i cant stand by and watch someone i care about get hurt.

i understand what you’re saying and i completely agree. i dont think it was wise to post this because i do think a lot of people got hurt because we all have different beliefs and religions. However i dont believe she knew any better because katie is one of the sweetest people ive ever met and she would never ever purposely h8te on someone. i think she wanted to stand up for what she believed in just like the members of the LBGTQ+ community do. i dont think she and sonic should receive this much h8te. they just wanted to stand up for what they believe in and thats okay. but i think they shouldve done it a different way. their intention was to never upset you or anyone. i can tell you that much.

^^yes i emma you’re right i shouldnt have used the word h8te. most people arent really h8ting on them however some comments are really hurting these 2 girls. i understand they hurt some people beforehand, and in fact they deleted the hurtful comments before anyone else could see them. however they both texted me some and let me just say they were not nice. I understand it’s frustrating to find out when someone doesnt believe in what you do, or when they said it in a hurtful way, but i think we should all handle the situation in a mature way. Some are saying some not so nice things (they have been deleted) while others are standing up for what they believe in which is perfectly okay. I apologize for using the word h8te as it did not fit into this situation. hurtful words are better words to describe it. And yes, the way katie or sonic worded it may have been hurtful but they had no intention of it being perceived that way.

yes i 100% agree with that. i did expect people to disagree and i apologize if it seemed as though i thought the other way around. im hoping we can all just move on from this and continue to show love and care for eachother heading into the future. i appreciate you talking to me about this kind, calm, and maturely! it means a lot. even though we disagree on where we stand on this matter, im glad we can still be kind towards one another and just have a conversation about it. 💛💛

I don’t understand what’s wrong with this. I think it’s amazing that they are including/making characters in the lgbt+ community. even if you don’t agree spreading the word isn’t wise. I personally disagree with you and I stand with that. the fact that Tom Holland may not even appear as Spider-Man again and your making this protest makes zero sense to me

Katie WAS NOT trying to offend anyone, just trying to stand up for what she believes in. @Avocadoadorable i respect you and your account so much, and i respect that you support the lbgtq+ and katie does too. But i dont think you responded to this in the right way. Katie should have worded it differently or stood up for what she believes in, in a different way, but please dont take out her anger on her. she meant no harm.
