So naturally the next day I proposed the idea to Anouk who willingly read through paragraphs of me scrambling to piece together the dream and logistics 😂 We eventually decided to send over our original poems, and have the other person create the collage! so, here it is! What a collab! Only something as extraordinary as this collage can result from two great minds. Kat, I especially love the line on the piece of paper. ‘my feelings for you just out of reach’, wow that really portrays a hurt I feel through the screen lol. Anouk, the collage is amazing per usual! Your selection of pictures are always the best as they are able to tell a story in the collage. The arms reaching are a remarkable touch. Really feel the reach and yearning the poem displays.

I've finally finished writing my paragraphs for you, so get ready!!

Doing this collab with you was incredible!! I must say, when I read the idea, my first thought was: I'll have to hand over a poem. These poems are so close to my heart and I always love making them come alive, to turn that feeling into pictures. But I also knew that my poem would be in great hands. You inspire me, Kat. Every collage you make is just wonderful and it amazes me how much thought goes into every little detail of them. You always think about every picture, about every placement. And I just knew, that if there was one person who would just get my poem and turn it into something beautiful, it would be you. I went in pretty blank, not thinking of what I would've made of it and just letting you do your thing and you've captured it perfectly. The messy text, the repetitions. All the layers, which really gives that looking back idea together with the window. I love it so so much. And we all know I love a good glowing text :)

For my side, I loved working with your poem. It was such a different experience, cause now I really had to read it and find the feelings. I read over it so many times, picking out the lines that spoke most to me. I got a super melancholic vibe, kinda longing for something that isn't there anymore. I went for a brown background to really get that nostalgic feeling. For the pictures on top I wanted to show both the happy friendship and the turning away from it. And of course, the hands, reaching out for what was.

Kat, just working with you and the constant support you always show me, it's incredible. Your kind words make me feel all warm and giddy inside, like a sunset's orange. Thank you ❤❤ (Not you comparing doing a collab with me to showing Stan Lee your comics though 😭)

Honestly, the fact that this all started with a dream you had?? Insane. But if you ever have any other genius dreams, feel free to drop another few paragraphs on me, cause it's all worth it.

Also, 6 years?? That's a lot, congrats!! It's super weird to me that we've both been on here for a while (I'm nearing 5) and yet I don't think we've been following each other for that long?
