I am so sorry, my dog Spencer was 14 years and my mom and I were on a trip with our church when he died. I know exactly what you mean, I have no memory of being at home without him. My dog Choxy died 2 years ago and I got her for my 2nd birthday. I know a lot of people will tell you this, but it's true. It WILL get easier :) stay strong, your dog is always with you.
