I don’t think you’re overcompensating on that Chapter 9—I think you’re saying just enough and I find it BRILLIANT to retell that scene from Evryn’s point of view. Also, I think the transition from past to present is seamless and I LOVE the interpretation of the mother’s warning on Evryn’s part when I find they had a different kind of “assault” to prevent her from 🙏🏽😫👏🏽💘 Also I would have NEVER come up with that mental train of thought for that character but seeing it all play out, just, works 🤩
