Kamryn was watching as the selected boarded the plane, offering a small smile to all of the girls.

Kamryn resumed back to her designs, working on a jumpsuit that one of the selected could where. She tapped her drawing pen on her chin, thinking that maybe she could get some specialized orders from the selected to see what they wanted to wear. (lol that made no sense but oh well :))

Avery looks up from window not expected someone to sit next to her. “uh hi... I’m Avery.”

Kamryn had sent the designs to the maids and put away her tablet, slumping down in her seat, relieved to be finished. She sat back up and looked around the airplane, all of the seats were nearly filled.

“hi,” she said. she was incredibly nervous, and knew she wasn’t hiding it well. “where are you from?” she asked.
“I’m from all over... never stayed in one place long enough to call it home.” Avery sighed.

Mina looked for people to talk to. // Lydia sat down, pulled out a sketch book full of mindless doodles and started to draw.
“Everyone please fasten your seatbelts. [insert a bunch of safety/regulation check stuff here :)] Arrival time will be at 6 pm. Let’s have a safe flight and now, I’m going to pass over the mic to Kamryn, one of the prince’s friends,” The plane began to roll on the runway.
Avery tunes out all of the safety instructions. It’s not like she hasn’t heard it before.
joanna proceed to ignore the announcement, not because she didn't care, but because she had headphones on and didn't hear. || lucas did not ignore the announcement and immediately buckled his seatbelt. and also attempted to calm himself down because he hayes flying.
Maggie rushes around the kitchen trying to get things prepared for everyone’s arrival.
Mina and Lydia both fastened their seatbelts.
“oh,” she said, shifting her bag under her seat. “i’m from clermont.”
“oh, Clermont? I’ve been there twice.” Avery says.
“Alright, welcome to the Selection everyone. Once we arrive, you will be led to your rooms where you could settle down and get unpacked. Dinner will be served at 7 and you will all meet the prince individually at 8. The rest of the night is yours to explore. Also Tomorrow night, we will have a ball, so if you have a special request or a design in mind, please come to me,” Kamryn said...that wasn’t really apart of the important information that the selected had to know, she just wanted to design people’s outfits lol. “If you have any questions, please feel free to ask,” she added, taking her seat at the front of the plane.
grace nodded slowly. “are you nervous?” she asked quickly.
hannah gets the room ready for one of the selection girl. she’s buzzing with excitement, the selection was always an exciting time for the palace.
“no, not really...” Avery stares at her nails.
Kamryn proceeded to listen to music and read her book :)
There was some mild turbulence...
joanna slid her headphones back off of her ears and looked around, realizing that other people had arrived. || lucas did noy enjoy the turbulence at all.
Avery rolls her eyes at the turbulence.

Kamryn looked up from her book and then back down.
grace sighed and looked around the plane. these people seemed so...proper. she took a deep breath and started to read her book, but it fell out of her hands due to the turbulence. “ugh,” she said as she reached down to pick it up.
The turbulence only became harsher.
if lucas knew that you were the one causing all this turbulence he would be very mad at you, you know.
grace began to panic a bit. this seemed too familiar for her. “does anyone know what’s going on?” she asked to no one in particular.
“just some minor turbulence.” Avery lies just a little.
“are you sure? that didn’t feel like MINOR turbulence,” she said.
Okay v off topic, but I have my final exam for geometry (idk why they made me start algebra II before doing my final geometry exam bc i dont remember anything...) and I’m doing the practice quiz and it’s asking me what the area of the circle is...Ik simple right. It’s d•pie or r^2•pie right? Or am I just dumb bc I literally got a 30 and I don’t know how.

grace sighs hoping that everything is okay with the plane. she tries to tune very thing out and not think of the world around her just for a little while.
The plane continued to be quite bumpy for awhile. Kamryn glanced outside constantly, clearly paranoid about something.
Avery tries to sleep through the turbulence.
Mina listens to a podcast.
grace fidgets in her seat from the turbulence. she finally decides to speak up. “um, is everything okay?” she asked as she spotted kamryn peering out a window.
“this is useless.” Avery stuffs the eye mask into her bag and stares out the window.
“I’m not sure,” she admitted, “But I think all it is is just turbulence,” she added.
“oh okay,” she said with a sigh.
You know how you roll over the speed bumps, well the plane basically just did that because I don’t know how else to explain it😤 Kamryn closed her book shut. There should be nothing that was causing this much turbulence.
Lydia hated this turbulence. she clutched her sketchbook tightly to her chest. // Mina kept listening to her podcast, filling her brain with positive thoughts. :D
grace was shaken up to say the least. she hated flying on planes without turbulence to begin with, but this was a whole other level.
Avery found a random piece of paper and made a paper airplane.
joanna could not care less about the turbulence. she just went back to listening to music. || lucas was at this point just trying not to have a panic attack because of the turbulence.

The turbulence finally settled down and alas everything was fine...for now. The time was 4:30 and the plane was to land in a hour and 30 minutes. Snacks were now going to be passed out.
Mina eagerly took the snacks. Lydia passed on them.
Avery was starving. She hadn’t eaten anything but half a bagel since she boarded the plane.
“thank god,” she muttered with some sense of relief. and she was starving.
Avery opens her bags of chips and walks over to Kamryn. “so, are you still taking dress designs or...”
“I am,” Kamryn responded, taking a cookie from the cart. She took out her drawing pen and tablet and offered Avery to sit down.
Avery sits down and immediately starts talking. “So I was thinking red, like really red. eye catching. “
grace was transfixed on getting through the flight and focusing on what was to come next after they had stepped off the plane.
Kamryn chose a few shades of red that she thought might work. “Any idea to what material?” she proceeded to ask.
“what material do you think will work best?” Avery asks not knowing much about that stuff.
“Perhaps satin,” Kamryn said, jotting down a few notes, “Or maybe crepe- not the food,” she added.
I think at 11 est the first night will begin since there’s nothing much to do on the plane but I have to go and take a shower first
i got bored so now apparently i'm drawing everyones characters.

I might do it now actually bc there’s nothing much more to do on the plane...I guess it’s always more of a prechat type thing.
“hmm... let’s do satin.” Avery says.
“Alright, a few more questions and then we should have some designs for you to try on once you get to the castle. Style of the top part? And then length?” she asked
“I definitely want to do off the shoulder or halter neck for top top. And as for the bottom? something long and flowy, but not too poofy.” Avery says.

grace decided that she wanted a dress for the ball tomorrow.
“Okay,” Kamri nodded, already started to sketch out ideas, “I think I have several ideas that will fit you well,”
also just a heads up, i live in europe so the time difference is a little off haha. just got back from the states so i’m still adjusting☺️
Mina thought about what dress she wanted. // Lydia drew out a sketch for her dress, erasing A LOT.
“thanks so much!” Avery smiles and goes back to her seat where she tries to get some sleep.

grace goes up to Kamryn with a soft smile. “hi, i was wondering if you could sketch an idea for a dress for the ball? i don’t really have any ideas yet though, i’m terrible with this kind of stuff.”
but i usually stay up pretty late anyways lol
“Your welcome,” Kamryn smiled, she looked through the tablet finding a premade design that would fit Avery well, but the color wasn’t bold enough.
“Of course,” Kamryn said, gesturing for her to sit down, “Whatcha thinking?” she asked.
grace sat down and thought for a moment. “maybe something blue?” she asked. “i’m not exactly sure what shade yet though. what do you think would be best?”

Avery still can’t sleep so she watches a boring movie instead.
Mina decided to be next in line for the dress making.
Lydia wanted to wait till a few people went then she would go.
“I think a lighter, softer blue would work well for you and your skin tone. Plus, someone else is already going for quite the bold look,” she added, jotting down her notes on a separate page.
Avery breathes on the window and writes her name in cursive.
“okay that sounds lovely,” she grinned. “thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Kamryn smiled, she had some leeway with Grace’s dress, but she had ideas brewing
Avery finally falls asleep.
