when you sketch or draw, use circles and a light pencil first and make the out line of the body or plant or whatever. like, a oval-circle shape for the head, and so on. Then, once that is all laid out, go over it with a darker pencil and erase all of the light pencil marks. Once that's done, go over it with sharpie and fill it in with color. Happy Sketching :)
I'm not very good at any of those things but I guess I'm okay at writing. What I normally do is if I'm writing a story I'll write down every piece of information on it. For example, I'll write down the characters, the location, the character's ages, when the story takes place, etc. Also, making a list of every big event in the story can really help too. Try to use different verbs when you're writing like instead of saying "she said" say something more descriptive like "she added" or whatever fits what you're writing about. Also, try to use adjectives because you don't want to list out what your character is seeing, instead try to describe it. And only bring up a topic if it is relevant to what you're talking about in the story. Don't just go "She loved cats and had one named Mittens. Her hair was blonde." because that makes no sense. Sorry if this was a bit long but I hope it helps
Photography: Don't take pictures in direct sunlight. Rays of sunlight will appear on your photograph. Unless you want that in your photo (it also adds a yellow tint to the entire color of the photo. So don't use direct sunlight unless it is a happy picture. Sad, depressing photos would look strange with a yellow to it.) So the best weather to take picture is actually overcast. (A very cloudy day, with little to no sun and no rain.)
Have a fun time taking photos ~Meghan
when it comes to photography, something that really helps is the three segments. Ot's basically where you have three segments focused on different things in the same image. For example, say you're taking a picture of a valley. One segment would be focused on a flower, one segment focused on the horizon, and another focused on the sky.
when it comes to photography, you have to just practice. find 3 objects and a beautiful background and take two pictures. focussing one on the objects and one on the background and choose a favorite! :)
when it comes to sketching, drawing, painting, or just any fine art in general, you need to keep practicing if you want to be good at it. that's just the only way. so what you will want to do is start simple, and practice practice practice what you want to be good at. I'd start simpler, with cartoonish drawings, and don't be afraid to watch videos or read books about what you want to do!! it will give you a solid base to do off of. start lighted, because it's easier to add than to take away. and if you really don't like somethings, start over again. it's really not going to help you if you stress over a drawing/painting that you don't even like. I'm really excited to see your art!! keep on creating friend.
i love writing songs and drawing so here's this:: for drawing, use reference photos or search up other people's art to get inspired. (i suggest going into google images and searching up "itslopez" and "sarehkee". their art is incredible!!). for writing songs i suggest this:: write what's on your mind. i've been in a really "thinking" stage lately, and it's really been helping me to write songs. whatever you're going through at the moment, write about it. or think of others that you could speak through your songs to. that's what u always do :-)
