Naiyla walked around. Her guard was still up, but the confident stride was gone...that was until someone aggravated her again.
Noa walked in with Ben, laughing. They had been able to get through the lava fields with little trouble, seeing as Ben couldn’t be burned and Noa could avoid the lava pretty well.
I just realized if we didn’t team then Allie our scores would be different so idk🤷🏻♀️

Naiyla finally walked in and sat down. She stayed quiet and her face seemed less intimidating, but she still had this glint in her eyes.

Mylee walked inside and took a seat, scanning the room until she found someone she knew.
Rosetta was kinda shy around people, but when it came to making choices she usually takes the risk. She came in second place because she took all risks.
Rosetta noticed Mylee had sat down. She recalled meeting her earlier.
She attempted to wave at Mylee, unsure if Mylee would noticed she waved.
Rosetta studied the room, trying to recall people she met earlier
"This could be my chance to meet new people." Rosetta murmured to herself.
Naiyla watched everyone carefully, not saying a word. The glint in her eye sparkled in the light.
So she walked up to a group of friends chatting and cleared her throat. "Hi guys" she said
Mylee waved back at Rosetta.
“Hi Rosetta.”
Nobody said a word. Maybe they didn't hear me, Rosetta thought. "Hello!" she said a little louder to the group. Rosetta was kind of shorter than the average girl her age, so maybe they didn't even see her standing there.
"Hi, Mylee"
Ben looked around, wondering who to talk to. He looked at Naiyla and remembered what Mylee had said earlier. He walked over and sat down next to her.

Rosetta and Mylee were sitting at different benches. Rosetta gathered the confidence to confront Mylee. She strided over to Mylee and asked, "Can I sit with you?"
“Sure!” Mylee replied.

Rosetta took a seat next to Mylee. "So, Mylee, how was the first task for you?" Rosetta asked. Then, a little quieter, she added, "I scored second."
“So...,” Ben murmured to Naiyla, “...You’ve met my sister.”
At first Mylee didn’t know how to respond. “Great job! I did pretty okay I guess.”
“Yes, I have.” Naiyla said promptly.
Rosetta gave a thumbs-up in response, and then was quiet for a moment. What else to talk about, she asked herself.
“A bit...abrupt, isn’t she? I don’t think she likes you very much.”
“Mhm.” she mumbled, “And...what do you need from me?” she asked.
“Nothing, I guess. Just someone to talk to.”
“Fine.” she said, “But if you have any tricks up your sleeve...” she smirked, looking the other way, “And you are?” she then asked.
“My name’s Ben.”
Maybe Mylee is just talking to me because...she pities me because no one else is talking to me..Rosetta thought. I better show her something cool or else she might abandon me to go talk so another camper...
“Good to know.” she stated promptly again, “Powers?” she then asked, “And I won’t take no for an answer,” she said. She was surprised with herself when she didn’t threaten to put him in a headlock...ugh she was getting soft.
Rosetta surveyed the room and saw a single plant in the corner. She motioned with her hand for Mylee to come and follow her.
Ben smiled. “I’m boring,” he replied, “I’ve just got fire.” He ignited a small flame on the tip of his finger.
Mylee followed Rosetta even though she had no clue what they were doing.
Rosetta was getting excited. She had never used her powers around anyone besides her mother. Rosetta waved her hand in a single, quick, swift motion. Flowers started blooming from the plant.
“Interesting...” she said. Her mind was half on the conversation and half elsewhere. She was surprisingly calm...for now of course.
“Wow... that’s beautiful!” she said meaningfully. It was beautiful, but Mylee wasn’t sure if that could harm anyone..
Rosetta then realized Mylee never mentioned what her power was. If she even had one. Maybe Rosetta's powers were puny compared to what Mylee could do.
Ben looked at Naiyla. Mylee was right - she wasn’t terrifying, she was just misunderstood. “What about you? I won’t take no for an answer either.”
But she knew she would still have to watch out for Rosetta, she could end up being big competition.
"Hey, Mylee, do you have any powers?" Rosetta asked casually
“Yes, I can control fire. It’s no big deal though.”

“Yes, you will.” Naiyla replied. She stated at the other side of the room, observing people.
"No big deal...no big deal?!" Rosetta exclaimed. "Fire is sooooo cool!!!" Rosetta smiled from ear to ear, and imagined the two of them, possibly future friends, on journeys with their powers.
Ben realized that Naiyla wouldn’t open up as quickly as he and Noa would. She’d take some time and effort. Ben followed her gaze and saw Rosetta and Mylee by a plant. Funny - when Ben had first seen that plant, it’d looked a lot smaller...
Mylee could tell everyone was getting more comfortable here. It shocked her to see Ben and Naiyla talking though. She laughed quietly when she saw him try to start a conversation.

Mylee smiled back at Rosetta.
Rosetta heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw a familiar face...someone she'd spotted earlier when she first arrived to camp. Rosetta awkwardly waved. "Hi..." was all she could manage to get out. (She wasn't that good with meeting new people...she was very awkward and shy.)

Rosetta noticed Mylee ran off. She was probably exploring, Rosetta thought. I should probably explore the camp later, too.

“Whoa, cool.” He touched one of the flowers gently, willing his power not to set it on fire. The flowers were so perfect, so delicate.

Mylee found out on her run that the camp was beautiful. It was incredibly large, so she assumed if she did just two laps around the camp it would be about 3 miles.
Naiyla sat alone and watched people silently. She started to sing quietly to herself, but she stopped suddenly. She couldn’t show any vulnerability or weakness even though her voice could kill...literally

About twenty minutes later, Mylee finished her run. She saw that the courtyard was nearly empty.
Noa looked out of the corner of her eye at Naiyla. She had sung for just a moment, and it had been beautiful. Noa looked into her mind for only a split second and then realized what Naiyla’s other power was. She smiled gently as her eyes flicked back down to her book. Ben wanted to be allies (*eyebrow wiggle*) with Naiyla - Noa knew that.
Naiyla just kind of sat there and even though she stopped singing, she felt vulnerable. She felt like she needed to put back on the tough cover, but something prevented her from doing that. Ugh...what were these people doing to her?! Actually, the better question is, what did her parents do to her? She grumbled before getting up and deciding to explore.

After training for awhile Naiyla continues her workout by running. Her ambition started to show through her face and the intimidating look came back.

As Mylee was walking past Naiyla, she stopped.
Rosetta was walking around in a garden she found. She looked up at the sky and saw smoke rising in the distance. Although the is shy when it comes to talking to people, she isn't afraid to take risks. She decided to follow the smoke to the courtyard, where Mylee was practicing her powers.
V and K came out and layed down their yoga mats. Then, they started their routine. First they were just doing yoga by themselves, but by the end they were doing two person yoga. It helped to calm them down, de-stress, do trust exercises, stay in shape, and still have fun. Yoga was Vanessa’s favorite thing to do. She didn’t have a lot of friends, so she didn’t get out much. Kassian always had friends and was doing stuff with them, so Vanessa used yoga to not be depressed. Kassian knew how V felt, but he couldn’t ditch his friends, and besides, deep down, he knew V understood, and she did. She was the best sister to Kassian. And he was the best brother.

Mylee quickly darted away. It’s not that Naiyla intimidates her, it’s just awkward to be around her.
Rosetta was wandering around the garden she had found. Gardens are where she feels most comfortable. She is connected with nature on so many levels and just feels at home whenever she is around plants.
“Must Be,” Naiyla replied as she kept up her usual posture.
Even though she would have loved to stay in the garden, Rosetta didn't want to be that one person that never socializes and nobody talks to. So she decided to go inside. She looked around and not many people were left.

Naiyla rolled her eyes as she started to sing softly again. She exited the room and ran outside where she could practice privately. She took in air as she opened her mouth and screamed. It wasn’t a regular scream though, it was a literal deafening scream.

Rosetta sat down on the bench she was sitting on earlier with Mylee.
She heard some singing but couldn't quite place where it was coming from. She discarded the information and decided to stroll around the room.
She didn’t do it loudly though, but it was loud enough to shatter all of the bottles she had placed down awhile ago.
“I’m sure I heard signing..” Mylee muttered.
A few minutes had passed and Rosetta had already walked around the room a few times. She wandered outside, out of boredom, and saw Naiyla. Now, she didn't really know Naiyla that much, but she did know she was very intimidating. And, to someone who's never talked to Naiyla, you'd be surprised if you stumbled across her singing.
Mylee shook her finger and a small flame appeared above it, like a candle.
Rosetta decided to lean on the door frame and just listen to the gentle melody. It was beautiful and she did not want to disrupt it or make anything awkward, so she kept quiet. Until...she heard the shattering of glass.
She waved it around, passing the flame from finger to finger to amuse herself.
She saw Rosetta leaning against the door, but it didn’t seem to be a big deal. She had taken off her shoes and now she was making the flame appear above her toes.

Now she was concerned. She noticed the broken bottles behind Naiyla, and wanted to confront her about it but Naiyla looked calm, and like everything was normal. Plus, the beautiful sound of her voice persuaded Rosetta to stay where she was and listen. It was beautiful.
Rosetta was in a relaxed state, and she did not know how long she'd been listening to Naiyla sing. But something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. Fire. Rosetta was broken out of her trance and watched Mylee set her feet on fire.
Naiyla didn’t really share her sonokinesis with anyone. It had many capabilities, but it was not only dangerous to others, but dangerous to herself.
Although she was not comfortable confronting Naiyla just yet, as they had never properly introduced, Mylee had made it seem like they were friends, so Rosetta walked up to her and said hello.

When Rosetta saw her, Mylee started cracking up. “Oh, you’ve noticed! This style is all the rage now,” she said gesturing towards her feet.

Rosetta was confused as to why her vision was slightly blurry. She tried rubbing her eyes and everything but something wasn't quite right.
As the singing continued, Rosetta found it harder and harder to stand. Was she tired or something? She started wondering how long she'd been listening.
Naiyla stopped using her voice for a minute. She whipped her head around.
“And you are?” she growled slightly as she narrowed her eyes.
At this point, Rosetta was sitting on the ground, not wanting to stop listening. She was blinking A LOT and noticed all the shattered bottles and other broken materials surrounding Naiyla. Rosetta was

Naiyla had very mixed emotions about this Rosetta person, “I’m Naiyla,” she said confidently.

Naiyla started using her her voice to manipulate sound and she started shattering all of the targets in front of her. She smirked softly, but then came a thought of How was she going to clean this up?

She groaned as she put on a pair of gloves and started picking up the glass and other assortment of materials.
“I’m assuming you need something,” she grumbled as she stopped using her superspeed to pick it up.
“Mhm,” she mumbled as she threw all of the shattered targets away. “And why would he want to be an alliance with me?” she raised her eyebrows.

"Why did I even come here?" Mae asks herself.
Luna wasn't sure of what she should do because her powers required another person to work. Unless she used her powers on herself which didn't really sound appealing cause it would be dangerous. She thought maybe she could make some friends but everyone left her when she tried to talk to them. Maybe cause she had a bit of darkness around her. I mean she dealt with the darkness a lot so it made sense it came near her.

Naiyla started practicing her martial arts since she thought she shattered, crumbled, or imploded way to many objects today. She put her hair into a French braid as she started practicing her spin kicks.

Mylee set up some boxes again to practice her powers. She made a large fireball and shot it at the target with perfect accuracy.
Naiyla started practicing a few boxing combos before she stepped on a shard of glass. She grunted before removing the piece of glass from her foot.
V and K came out and started practicing their acrobatics. They had mastered almost all of the skills-they’d been doing them since day one, literally-so they started making up new ones. Kassian got on his elbows and touched his toes to the ground in front of his head, then Vanessa did a handstand on top of him and touched her toes to his knees. Slowly, they both lifted up their feet so it was just their hands/elbows. Then, Kassian quickly swooped up gracefully onto his hands. He switched to one hand, reached out, and Vanessa lowered her feet so that Kassian could grab them. They had been working on this for weeks, trying to perfect it. After this, Vanessa stood up on Kassian’s hand and Kassian threw her up, where she did a back-layout while Kassian rolled under her onto his knees and she landed on his shoulders. Then she jumped down and high fived kass. “Woo! Great job!” she said then proceeded to do their handshake.

Luna was surprised to find no one there so she went back to Mylee who was braiding her hair

Naiyla looked down at her necklace which was a bird. Before her birth mom died, she always told Naiyla about how her powers were like a birds...a really fast bird. She looked down at necklace, but tucked it back into her shirt. “No weakness...” she muttered. Once her mom died, she moved in with her father and her stepmother and they were very...delightful.

Mylee thought about how she didn’t have an alliance yet. There were some people she wanted to ask...
Vanessa and Kassian head to the nearby diner for some lunch. They order burgers and milkshakes, and wait for their food to come. “The thing about Mylee, it isn’t true anymore. That only would’ve happened if, you know, that, had happened,” Kassian said. “Okay, so, she’s not a threat?” Vanessa asked. “Nope. Maybe a little, but I’d say we’re more of a threat to her than she is to us,” K replied. “Good.”

Ben saw Naiyla throw away the glass. He walked over to her. “Hey.”
Naiyla moved away from the area she was imploding and shattering stuff because she already got several small pieces of glass stuck in her legs. She sat in a straddle position and removed them carefully
Naiyla removed a piece of glass from her leg and threw it away, she looks up, “Hey?”

And the more she thought about it, Mylee realized that she didn’t really have any friends here. She did have enemies though.

The waitress came back with their food. “Two bacon, avocado cheeseburgers,” she said handing one to each of them. “A chocolate milkshake for you,” she said handing it to Kassian. “And a cookies and cream milkshake for you,” she said handing that to Vanessa. “Anything else?” she asked. they shook their heads, and she walked away. “Is there anybody else you want to ally with?” Vanessa asked, twirling her straw. “Not sure. We already have Naiyla, and as far as I know, Mylee isn’t a threat. Who could we want?” Kass asked. Vanessa shook her head, as if to say there wasn’t anyone she wanted either.

Mylee ran over to the side of the lake opposite from where Ben and Naiyla so she could think.
Luna didn't really know what to do. She didn't really have friends but she didn't have enemies which was good.

She found some wood and surrounded it with something like a force field of fire. She made the force field collapse onto the wood and it exploded into flames. She quickly put out the big fire.
Maybe Luna shouldn't have declined their offer...
Ben was quiet as he watched Naiyla remove the glass shards from her leg. He winced as she pulled them out. “Doesn’t that hurt?”
But then again they used their magic for darkness... Wow I'm one to talk I have a really dark power. Oh well
Mylee was very secretive and often found herself alone. When she’s around others, she tries to act nice but it always seems fake.
Luna thought that everyone was at the lake so she went there too
Naiyla shrugged, “Yeah, but I’m used to it...” she trailed off as she threw all of the shards away.

Mylee found a huge piece of metal. She heated it up and bent it with ease.

Kassian and Vanessa finished their burgers and milkshakes and left the diner, heading back towards the courtyard.
Naiyla took a glance at Luna as she cleaned up the blood on her legs.

Maybe I should see what she was doing? She looked hurt. I shouldn't have left her...
Mylee stuck her feet in the water and looked across the lake at Naiyla and Ben. She then looked at her scarred arms. When she was in prison they had been scratched up from the handcuffs.
Luna decided to go back to make sure she was ok
Luna timidly asked, "Are you ok?"

Noa watched Luna and Naiyla from her tree. Luna seemed nice enough. She was quiet, though. Her mind was easy to look into, but it was kind of dark, which helped Noa make a guess at her powers.
Am I being watched? Nah that's silly she thought... But still she turned around
Is that Noa? She thought to herself
“Yeah...” she said, slightly confused why this girl was being nice to her, “It happens,” she just shrugs nonchalantly
