I've never had depression... 😶
@caption: also, tell me about times you've been sad or hurt in the comments and my next post will be to attempt to help you deal with similar situations because trust me, there will be a LOT more of those in life
I don't think I've ever had depression yet but I had several mental breakdowns before👌🏻 and this is actually inspiring (for me)
@caption currently struggling with depression, and a few other things. I'm not offended, but depression isn't a choice. you make it seem like it's sulking but if you are diagnosed (like me) it's a real problem and is very hard to overcome.
I'm sorry but I feel very vulnerable answering those questions😬😪I'm sorry
Well in the picture it does...
yea of course❤
I'm not offended, but you make it sound like depression is a choice. People don't choose to be depressed. Maybe they have everything you listed, and I bet they're grateful, but some kids get bullied, abused, etc and that's the reason their depressed. They can't just say, "Well, I'm not going to be depressed anymore, yay!" Because it takes time to overcome it, depending on the reason why the person is depressed. I hope you aren't offended ✨
I'm with @GatheringBlue, but I also get what you say. From the other side of things, however, people can't just snap out of it—and even if their problems are "smaller" than others, they're still valid. 😌🌿
^^
@GatheringBlue is right. From what I know about depression, it's not a choice, it is a mental issue. you can't just choose to not have depression. there is a hëll of a lot of things to do to cure depression, which, I will agree with you, does start with choosing to not want depression. I don't even know if you can get rid of depression. But there is a lot more than just choosing to "not have depression."
I haven't had depression, but have had anxiety. Mostly about my identity because of the background I come from but the multicultural community I've grown up in. As well as how my personality does not fit in 2 any of those.
I agree with @GatheringBlue, I actually have depression because of a few reasons and she's right, you made it seem like it's a choice. not to be offensive but because of problems people face it causes them to think a deep do certain stuff and you can't control it. it's not a choice, it's a mental illness
