I know you may never read this, but I must say this all. No words can express how much I admire and appreciate you as a person and your pure existence. From what you endured before Harry Potter to what you have achieved now is absolutely remarkable and you are such an inspiration to me. I was quite late to the Harry Potter fandom as I only read the books when I was 13 (back in 2015). Until then, I never ever thought that I'd be a Harry Potter fan, in fact I thought I'd hate it. Thank goodness I had given that book a chance. I remember I needed something to read while I was on camp and I had been watching a youtuber, Brizzy Voices, who, if you have watched her videos would know is a massive Harry Potter fan. She made me feel tempted to try reading Harry Potter. So my amazing parents bought me the first book and I took it with me to camp and read it. OH. MY. WALLY. THAT BOOK WAS BLOODY AMAZING. I was hooked from the moment Harry had talked to the boa constrictor snake! I was so into Harry Potter despite the fact I had only read the first few chapters then, that I was picking up sticks on camp and pointing them at people and yelling the only spell I knew at the time 'expelliarmus' (which is now my favourite word😹).

Anyway as I progressed through the series, my love for it increased and the books were embedding themselves deeper and deeper to my heart. You, Jo, definitely had used some magic as you were writing the series because I connected with the characters and plot in a way I had never before. I had never been so in love with a fictional universe. I had felt this deep protectiveness and adoration for Harry, Ron and Hermione and I could really feel your love for these characters as you wrote them. You and your writing turned me from a muggle to a witch. Your ideas are so interesting and sophisticated and your style of writing is so unique that no author, no matter how hard they tried could match. The Harry Potter series had changed me as a person as well. Hermione made me realise that it's ok to be yourself and that you should stand up for what you believe in, even if others laugh at you or mock you for doing. As Hermione's skin was never specified I sometimes pictured myself as her, with the same frizzy out of control hair and immense passion and motivation for school and intelligence. Even though before reading Harry Potter, I was pretty much Hermione, you taught me through Hermione to embrace those qualities. Harry Potter has become such a big part of who I am and basically is a part of my personality.

I can tell people lowkey judge me when I wear my Harry Potter earrings to school or when they see my locker and see the Harry Potter merchandise I decorate it with. Whenever someone mentions Harry Potter everyone looks at me and I have no shame in showing the world my love for Harry Potter whether they think it's weird or not. To some people, Harry Potter is just fiction, they see it as just a book. But to me and other Potterheads out there, Harry Potter is more than just that, it's a way of life. It's a teacher of important things like love, friendship, bravery and every type of magic

Thank you, Joanne Rowling, for showing us what a kind and strong human being is. Thank you, Joanne Rowling, for showing us that magic is more than just silly incantations and flicks of wands in fantasy and that it can exist in things like love and friendship. Thank you, Joanne Rowling, for being an inspiration. Thank you, Joanne Rowling, for everything. Don't just have an amazing day, have an amazing life because you deserve it more than anyone. Don't let the muggles get you down.
