i'm Turkish (but i live in Canada now) and all of my relatives are in Turkey. we were going to visit them for 3 weeks starting next week. when the coup started we didn't think we would be able to go, but now the government has more control so we might be able to go again
and even though the military is weaker, the president of Turkey is a terrible person. the soldiers were gonna throw him in jail if they won. the president deserved that but then there would be no stability for a long time until the military had their new elections. a lot of people in Turkey support the president, but now he just has more reason to abuse his power. the coup actually wasn't that bad (because the president would've been in jail) but still there would be a time of uncertainty.
this is so sad :/ Pray for them...
I was watching the news last night and they said it may happen... and now it has😁😫
