Chloe skipped off the plane and into that waiting area where she went to a vending machine and got a Pepsi and some Cheetos.

“Okay Guys...wanna grab some lunch here?” Eliza asked. “Airport food is pretty great.”

(Some of my favorite meals have been airport food.😂)

“Mmhm.” Chloe nodded. Not like she needed any lunch. She could go for 4 days without any food. || “Sure.” Jackson smiled.

(I got on a plane once when I was in Florida to go to New Jersey for the summer with my aunt. And then I took a plane back. When I actually MOVED to Florida with my family, my dad was so cheap the we just drove to New Jersey.)

“The only time I’ve ever fallen from tree, I only chipped a tooth.” Chloe said. “I think I’m fine.”

“Alright, Fine.” Alex said. “But I’m not helping you if you do fall.”

“I won’t fall.” Chloe said. She might not fall, but the blood will eventually rush to her head and she’ll go numb.

“Good.” Alex sighed||Eliza walked out and sat down next to Alex. “Our ride will be here soon.”

Jackson stared at Chloe. “I bet you $20 that she’ll fall in the next five minutes.” He said, to both Alex and Eliza.

“I would take that bet...but I agree with you.” Alex laughed.

Chloe began swinging back and forth on the branch. She swung herself Tarzan-style onto another branch close to her and sat on top. Wow Chloe. We never knew you were good at gymnastics. || “Hm. Surprising.” Jackson said.

“Chloe, please come down.” Eliza said. “I don’t want you to get hurt.”

“I’m fine!” Chloe smiled. She dropped down from the branch and landed on her hands, which was safe.

“Oh my goodness...” Eliza sighed

“See! Toldja I’d be fine.” Chloe shrugged.

“Yes, you did.” Eliza nodded. “Just be more careful.”

“Eliza. I jumped off of the roof of a Walmart to steal butter sticks.” Chloe said. “And I’m absolutely fine.” || Jackson tried to restrain his laughter. Really? Butter sticks?

“Yeah...I guess you’re right.” Eliza said.

“I am probably one of the most reckless human beings you will ever meet.” Chloe said.

Chloe did the craziest thing ever. She rolled down the window, crawled out, and fell onto the pavement.

“I’m just going to pretend that didn’t happen.” Eliza said, opening her door and getting out

“That was... odd.” Jackson said. || Chloe stood up and brushed herself off, she had gotten a bloody nose top.

“Perfectly Fine.” Chloe said, and wiped a little blood off.

“Are you sure?” Eliza said, worried

“Yeah. Just a little bit of a bloody nose, that’s all.” Chloe shrugged.

“We can take care of you when we get inside.” Eliza smiled

“Okay.” Chloe smiled back.

Alex started walking up the front steps. “Second floor. Last door on the left. I’ll meet you up there.”

Chloe decided to get there in the most hilarious way possible: the vents. Oh yeah and Jackson walked up with Eliza.

Eliza lead the way to Alex’s apartment and opened the door, which was unlocked.

Jackson walked in and looked around. “Isn’t it unsafe to have your apartment unlocked?”

Eliza shrugged. “Yeah...but it’s broken.”

Chloe was already inside, snooping around. “Oh hey guys.”

Alex walked in and sighed. “I apologize...there is a broken window in here. it gets pretty cold sometimes.”

Well...I have to go take a shower. but Iris, we need to talk.

Chloe smirked. “I have a great idea for warmth...”

“I’ll be right back...” Chloe said and... went into the bathroom to get changed into an adorable cat onesie. But nobody knows that yet.nBecause she hasn’t come out yet.

Eliza laughed. “Chloe, you look adorable!”

“Thanks!” Chloe smiled.

“You’re welcome.” Eliza smiled

“I’ve always felt like I was meant to be a cat.” Chloe said. “I’m adorable, but fierce!”

“You would make a pretty cute cat.” Eliza agreed

“If you were an animal, what would you be?” Chloe asked.

“I don’t know.” Eliza said, sitting down

“I think you’d be a... ladybug!” Chloe smiled.

“No way! I hate bugs!” Eliza said

“But they don’t do any harm! They’re cute and pretty, just like Lovebugs!” Chloe said.

“Nope.” Eliza shook her head. “No bugs.”

“Then a fox or an owl.” Chloe said.

“Alright.” Eliza shrugged. “Either works.”

“You’re beautiful, majestic, and mysterious like a fox! And you’re awesome like an owl.” Chloe said.

“Wow. That was a lot of compliments.” Eliza smiled

“No problem.” Chloe smiled back.

“So...What Do you guys wanna do about dinner?” Eliza asked

“I still have a few of these things from earlier.” Jackson held up the sandwiches they never ate.

“Perfect!” Eliza said. “Now who wants to go get Alex?”

“Me...” Chloe paused and smirked. “Ow.” GET IT?

“Go ahead then.” Eliza laughed

Chloe slowly climbed out of the window, like Alex did. “Hey. We need you back inside.”

“No you don’t.” Alex said. “Now go away.”

“Yes we do.” Chloe said.

“Leave me alone Chloe.” Alex said

“Fine. We’ll send Jackson out.” Chloe said before she went back inside. “He doesn’t want me. He wants Jackson.”

“Oh lovely.” Eliza sighed. “This is going to be difficult.”

“Well... I think I can handle this.” Jackson shrugged. He looked out the window and dropped one of the Sandwiches on Alex’s Head. “HEY CAN YOU COME BACK UP HERE?! PLEASE?!”

“No.” Alex said, throwing the sandwich back at Jackson

“Why nooot?!” Jackson whined.

“Because I don’t want to.” Alex said

Jackson sighed, went down where Alex was and sat next to him. “Please?”

“Give me one good reason why I should.” Alex said

“Because unlike down here, I’ll be up there with you. And so will Eliza. And unfortunately, Chloe too.” Jackson said.

“Fine. I’ll go.” Alex sighed

“Thank you.” Jackson smiled.

“Let’s go then.” Alex said, heading back inside.

Jackson followed Alex back inside, with a Pleased smile.

“Wow. How did you do that?” Eliza asked Jackson

“Because I’m not wearing a cat onesie.” Jackson shrugged. “I also told him that you and I would be up here.”

“Honestly Jackson, the only reason I came back was because I was hungry.” Alex said

“Here ya go I guess.” Jackson gave Alex one of the many Sandwiches he had.

“Thanks kid.” Alex said, taking the sandwich from Jackson

“B-but my brother is dead...” Eliza whispered

“Liza...” Chloe sounded like she was crying. “T- try not to get hung up on things. Take life 1 minute at a time. Every time a minute passes, clear your mind. Everything’ll Be Fine.” She tried to smile.

“I can’t Chloe.” Eliza sighed. “I just don’t work like that.”

“The thought will linger... but don’t let it take control of you.” Chloe said.

“You don’t understand.” Eliza said

“He meant the world to you... he was your best friend... you loved him more than anything...” Chloes eyes began to tear up. “I know.”

“But...I haven’t just lost him.” Eliza said. “I lost the other person who I loved just as much.”

Chloe glanced at Alex quickly. “Him?”

Eliza nodded. “We can’t even have a conversation anymore...”

“E- Eliza...” Chloe sighed. “Do you have a- a plan or something to get back together?”

“No...I think it’s over Chloe.” Eliza said, about to start crying

Chloe hugged Eliza tighter. “Hey. We’ll find someone for you.”

“No. We won’t.” Eliza shook her head

“You’re right...” Chloe said thoughtfully. “We don’t need to find you someone. You have me.” She smiled.

“Yeah...I have you you.” Eliza smiled

“And we’re best friends!” Chloe said.

Eliza nodded but started crying again after a minute. “Oh who am I kidding?! I-I can’t do this...”

“It’s all gonna work out fine in the end...” Chloe patted Eliza’s back. “Don’t worry.”

“Because...” Chloe sighed. “They don’t understand. They have their hearts set in someone else... I’ve... been there before.” She admitted.

“But it’s never been like this before...” Eliza looked down at her locket and smiled sadly

“They’re oblivious to others feelings...” Chloe said.

“You know what?” Eliza took off her locket and dropped it on a nearby table. “I’m moving on from this.”

“You go girl.” Chloe smiled and put her hand up to high five Eliza.

Eliza gave Chloe a weak high five and smiled. “Not that this is going to last very long.”

“Hey. You should get some sleep. You’ll feel better and possibly happier when you wake up.” Chloe sad.

“Only if you stay with me.” Eliza said

“I’ll stay with you.” Chloe nodded.

“Alright...hopefully Alex won’t mind if I steal his bedroom.” Eliza walked into Alex’s bedroom and layer down on his bed. “He probably won’t.”

Chloe layed down next to Eliza and smiled. “He hopefully won’t.”

“He’s probably going to sleep on the fire escape anyway.” Eliza laughed

Eliza fell asleep pretty quickly. Alex on the other hand, spent the entire night on the fire escape.

(I can only imagine you having one of those cork boards where people have tons of pictures and stuff and they’re just like connecting them with red strings and they’re like this weird maniac😂😂)

Chloe took like an hour to fall asleep and Jackson... never came back.
