Hey, I'm really glad you made this post it's very inspirational. Since you seem very wise I'd like to ask you for some advice, lately I've just been feeling really stressed because I just got braces and I play the trumpet in band. we go back to school in about 3 weeks and I sound horrible and on top of that we have to play scales during the first week or so for chairs and I'm really scared. I just don't want to embarrass myself, part of me wants to quit band but part of me doesn't.. any thoughts on what I should do?

I was just really sad for a while because I was finally getting pretty good at trumpet or at a point where I was happy with myself, but it was all ruined when I got braces. Your response has definitely helped me and I think the best thing I can do is to practice until I get back to school and if I don't play well for scales in the beginning I guess I can always move up :) a Your very kind and if you ever need to vent to me I'll try my best to help you as well! Again thanks so much!

This is so true! People these days all seem to care about what others think of them because of "peer pressure" and all and need to learn that u should be yourself and do what YOU want to do!! (I'm not usually deep but lots of people aren't proud of themselves, including me tbh and everyone I know!)
