@ your reply: I don’t think it’s weird. I think it’s kind of another way of understanding the world. One of my creative writing instructors told us last semester that Freud thought of writing as socially acceptable play, and that play wasn’t apart from the serious, we just forget the discipline of explaining the world to ourselves as we grow older and it’s shamed. She didn’t completely agree with him, and neither do I, but it’s an interesting thing to think about.
