breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, let out for 8 this does some brain stuff that calms you down and is helpful before big presentations, meeting new people and just scary stuff in general
^^yes deep breaths help me so much
deep breaths, talking with milo (my datemate), writing out my feelings/drawing, listening to music
listening to slow music and daydreaming happy things
-looking at pictures of {cute mostly} things I like, listening to music, making a pillow fort, hugging pillows, and crying
doodles, sleep, water, and music :3
I drink tea or water and sleep
elastic band around the wrist;; snap it when you feel an urge to cut, I use a tight hairband
music, crying, pouring your heart out to someone and going for a walk :)
listening to the alternate version of she had the world by Panic!, tea
A technique called grounding. Basically I count things around me, or color in one of those adult coloring books, or anything tedious like that. The idea is that doing these things gets you focused on the world around you, rather than inside your head. Brings you back to reality.
deep breathing, music, snapping a elastic band around my wrist or calling the guy i like and tea
4-7-8 breathing. breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, release for 8. do it in a pattern and you'll realize you focus more on that, helps to calm your nerves down
