Given the past week's events I feel like it's necessary to say that though this book takes place in Nàzi Germany, it is about the pain that Nàzism brings and shows how repulsive and senseless such ideals are. I do not agree with the hateful beliefs that Nàzis hold and I want to say that I am truly sorry for the pain they have caused and am disgusted by their actions. I'm glad that you, regardless of appearance, are here today.
