I completely understand and I've had very similar things happen. Don't worry, and keep trying. If it's something you really love, it'll turn out alright in the end.

And BTW I really don't think you're self-centered. This may not be a "big deal" to some people, but it means a lot to you and therefore it matters!!

I know how you feel... with dance, once you get older you usually start getting featured solos and stuff but there's a lot of girls in my grade and so I've had to accept that I'm probably never gonna have a solo. it sucks!😔💙

I care! and I understand too, In gymnastics I was in the level right before team and I was old enough to be on team but I didn't make it because there were too many girls on team so the coach said I could just come to the meets and it sucked watching my teammates compete even though I was happy for them it still sucked

but I just kept working and I got on team! but a sprained my ankle so I couldn't compete anymore

and I'm the oldest in my school this year(like I'm in the last grade)but my teacher will pick favorites,so I understand what you're going through

I'm sorry😔I love acting as well, and it means a lot to me as well, and I know what it feels like to get a smaller part when you think you're going to get the main role or something big. but every single role matters, even if you think it doesn't. I know that's really cheesy and you may not want to hear that, but it's true. so just remember that even the small parts are really important😊💙.

I feel you. I did acting last year and got a small part bc the teacher played favorites, even though I was a good actor. the important thing is not to get sucked into a spiral of sadness about it. this sounds kind cheesy but there's always next year! u could get a lead role!
