well sure! I do and don't recommend gel nail polish, and that lasts for a long time. Gel does look pretty, and it lasts a long time, but the polish does damage the top layer of your nail. if you want to you use just normal polish, avoid getting the polish towards your cuticle because it lifts the paint and leads to chipping. also, use a sticky base coat so it will have a similar long-lasting affect like gel.
