I don't usually post politically polarizing content, because I know it is controversial and a sensitive topic for many. However, this is a topic that I feel strongly about, and I want to share my thoughts. If you have differing views, that's okay - I will still respect you and treat you no different. All I ask is you respect where I'm coming from as well.
For those of you who are unaware, the United States Supreme Court recently overturned Roe vs. Wade, essentially conveying that abortion is no longer a constitutional right. This eliminates legal abortions (after two weeks) in many US States and makes it difficult to access abortions in all states. Some states are even going as far as fining and imprisoning their people who travel to a legal state to get their abortion and attempt to come back.
This hurts many people. Pregnancies that are dangerous, assault victims, teens... but the list goes on. The same officials who overturned Roe v Wade have also publicly stated that they want SCOTUS to reconsider legal same s•• marriages, gender surgeries, and so much more.
I understand that because of religious and ethical beliefs that abortions can be seen as immoral, but why should we impose those beliefs onto others? Yes, with the option available it may make people more “careless” since there’s a plan B, but abortions aren’t an easy process, and trauma can also come out of the procedure too. If you don’t want an abortion, don’t get one, but I don’t think it’s fair to restrict that right for others.

I feel strongly about this because someone close to me needed one. He was a teacher and should have been protecting us, not chasing his own pleasure. She got one to ensure she could still have the future she wanted & planned. I can’t help but wonder what would happen if that was me? If it happens to me? What about all my dreams? College? Should I be scared to go out? I’m not sure. I don’t want to live my life in fear. And I don’t want others to either.

I see a lot of my peers saying they “h@tè this country”, but I don’t agree. I’m proud to be a citizen from the USA, my parents went through so much to get us here and I love what this country has stood for in the past. It’s because of this love that I think we as a country can do better. I hope that if somehow the SCOTUS sees this, that they reconsider the implications behind their actions. We can do better.
If this is your first time reading about this, please read up on it ! There is a lot to consider before making a stance, and whatever stance you take, it should be an educated one.
❤️
You've said it wonderfully ❤
❤️
Thank you Kat!!
I can definitely see some similarities between those scenes. They all kinda have the same setup, but different outcomes haha :)
to you as well ❤️
this is really good wow
❤️
♥️♥️♥️
This is so good. When abortion is illegalized, it's actually not. The safe way to do it is. That doesn't stop back-alley sketchy abortions. The fact that rights are being stripped away from women by uneducated boys is beyond me
I agree 100% on what you said!! I personally really don’t see the rationale behind it. If they really do care about the lives of children then why not inhibit gun laws that kill children every year, or provide better living conditions for those seeking refuge. Why ban abortion and instead encourage unsafe abortion which could lead to more deaths due to infection.
I’m willing to bet that those same people that support abortions are the same people that wouldn’t give two cheese sticks about those children after, because in reality, women don’t get abortions just for the fun of it. they get it because they know they are unable to give the life a proper child deserves whether it be financially or security.
I really don’t understand how they can prioritise the safety over clumped cells over the children getting killed too often from “gun rights?.
I absolutely despise talking about politics but I don’t think I could forgive myself i I didn’t do anything about this one
random but YOUR CARRD!! YOU HAVE THE BEST LAYOUT IVE EVER SEEN OML AND IS THAT MIO!!

this is so beautiful. still feeling sick by what happened. sucks that we’re going backwards
that’s great and me too! glad you’re okay because things for many people have been tough right now!!
I'm sorry that happened to you. There's nothing more hurtful than realising what once was, is no longer there. The pain definitely doesn't let itself be buried, I still find myself wondering over stuff that happened years ago. Sending love ❤
What if the doors aren't where we're going, but where we're from 👀
aww tysm :’))
