yes I totally agree. But now that I think about it there both similar animes in a way! Like how Haru and Kazehaya care deeply for Sawoko and Shizoku and how both the girls were alone until their handsome prince came and they made so many friends!

Some not so mainstream ones that I found should deserve more credit are:Emma a Victorian Romance,The World Is Still Beautiful (I found this anime to be one of my top top favorites but,the male lead is young which usually will lead me off but it turned out really well),Kobato,Romeo x Juliet (way better than what Shakespeare wrote),Glasslip,Hiiro No Kakera,Otome Yokai Zakuro.
