so hi, im not sure there’s even anyone left on here who knows who i am lol. I’m “chloe” (not my real name just one i decided I liked back in 2018 haha), I’ve had many usernames in my 6 years on pic collage (some id prefer to forget (iNtRoVeRtEd eXtrOvErT). I know no one is gonna read this but I feel it’s my rite of passage to make this, this collage is an old one I think I must’ve made it for another account at least 3 years ago but any collage making abilities I had (debatable) seem to have been drained out of me, but I thought this one was appropriate. life has been crazy, I’ve not opened this app for about 2 years but this morning I saw an Apple spotlight of collaging apps (pc wasn’t on there >:() and it threw me back to here. Not having Instagram and barely using Snapchat throughout my younger years, I really grew up on this platform. I joined when I was 12 and a lot has happened since then. Suicidal friends, hatepages (fanpages??), competitions, getting almost 2000 followers, making more friends than I could count (literally where did everyone go lol), and also making a really good friend for life- Tabi I’m sorry I barely text you I’ll do better in the summer I miss u! Since I “outgrew” the app and my friends started to leave in late 2018/2019, a lot has happened in the world. Obviously the pandemic hit, leaving me time to make my last collage in the summer and return just for a day or two to this app. I was 14 when I began to leave PC, I’m now a fully grown(?) adult 🥲. Life moves fast but it did move slow back in the late 2010s. So much is going on in the world at the moment, war in Ukraine, abortion crises in the US, rising cost of living beyond wage increase in the UK and across the world, sky high gas prices, worker shortages, food shortages, climate change - everything is going a bit mad. I don’t remember the world like this in 2017-2018, maybe it’s rose tinted glasses or maybe it’s because I had pic collage, a true escape from the world outside, hidden away in my bedroom on my phone talking to new people and making little pictures to post on this little app. It may be no Instagram but this tiny corner of the internet really changed my life, along with a lot of people. Thank you pic collage, and I really hope that there’s some flowers that remind us why all this worldly rain is so necessary....
