Amara arrived at the pool party and took off her coverup to spray on sunscreen. She didn’t want to get burnt. She then hopped into the pool and threw a beach ball.

Chase came and walked over to Kaila.

Kaila was still singing Lovely when Chase came around. “Hey,” she said to him.

June sat at the pool dangling her feet in, she was hungry, so she was devouring her cupcakes she got very ferociously.

“Hey,” he said back.

*Simon spots the cupcakes but rebound over to the instant ramen bc Simon comes extra prepared*

“Heads up!” Amara said as she hit the ball to June.

*Simon intercepts the ball and throws it back to Amara*

June turned her head to Simon, “thanks,” she smiled, and shook her hands to get the crumbs off them. She flicked them towards Amara.

Kaila said, “You’re not up for the pool party either?” she asked, cleaning up her cut

Amara hit the ball toward someone else. “Sorry! You didn’t have to be rude!” She said to June.

*Simon shrugs then dives underwater*

Kaila nodded ever so slightly as she listened to the birds chirp and the breeze rustle through the leaves.

“Yeah, I understand.” Kaila said, “I prefer to be away from people too, but a little bit of company is always nice,” she said, smiling very faintly.

“Yeah,” Chase said, but he didn’t smile. He hadn’t smiled in years. Nothing could make him happy enough to smile again.

“I should probably leave you. I don’t want you to get hurt...” Chase said getting up.

“What do you mean?” Kaila asked, standing up.

Amara closed her eyes under water, and when she opened them again, she was in a dark place. She stood up, no longer in water. “Hello?” She called, her voice echoing. Then a shadow flashed across her vision. She whipped around, and her dad was standing behind her. “Amaramisia de Monocorteliane Jefrestiniandrews. Welcome to The Realm,” her dad said.

“Dad?” She asked. He walked off, and Amara had no choice but to follow him. His shadowy figure left whisps flying through the air after him, and he was easy to track. Soon they came upon a dark palace. There was no light, but she could see it just fine. It was made of obsidian and gold, built like a fortress with walls surrounding it and soldiers posts rising above on towers.

Kaila just watched Chase run off. She wasn’t sure if she should go after him or just drop it. As some one who has been in the line of danger several times, she really didn’t want him to face whatever this is alone. However, that was in the past...

As her dad approached the fortress’ outside walls, soldiers moved out of the way to let him pass, but gave her weird, creepy stares as she followed him. Two soldiers opened the gates and we walked in, the doors shutting behind us. Then there was the castle, looming up in front of her. A long walkway stretched to the stairs. It was a bridge with no railings. On both sides was a huge abyss and lava churned at the bottom. She heard screeches coming from down there, and didn’t want to stick around to find out what they were. “Where are you taking me?” she asked once they reached the doors to the castle. Her father paused and turned around. “You will see when we get there, darling. But I don’t suggest staying out her too long, the beasts will get restless,” her father said and she shuddered internally.

(she’s not meditating anymore. her dad used her eyes being closed as an excuse to teleport her to The Realm)

Amara steppes inside the castle to find, what a surprise, everything was black. Her dad led her over to a staircase and they made their way through the castle until the came to what appeared to be a map room. “What’s this?” Amara asked. “Here we can look into the real world,” her dad said leaning over the holographic map in the middle of the room. Amara stepped up to look at it too. Her dad stepped back and gestures to say that she should look at it. She zoomed in on the place where the school was. She saw name tags of everyone at the school. She clicked on Chase’s and saw him in the forest. She clicked on Si’s and saw him swimming. She zoomed in closer and saw that her body we still in the pool. “Wait, so I’m not really here?” she asked. “No, Amara, I’m afraid not,” her mom replied, a silhouette in the doorway. She came closer. “Your body is still at school, but you are still here with us,” she said wrapping her arm around Amara’s shoulders. She felt an icy chill and slid out from her mom’s arm. “Why am I Here?” she asked. Her mom simply smiled, and Amara had an uneasy feeling about this.
