If you think you may have depression, talk to your parents. For all you know, it could be serious, and your parents would be the best people to help you cope with it. And don't feel like a burden! Your parents love you, and I'm sure they'd be happy to help.๐
if you think you have depression, pretend to not have it by simply ignoring it 24/7. once you pretend long enough, you'll be sure to not have depression (does that make sense at all?)
^^not sure if that will work. You may not want to tell your parents, and, if you have depression, i'm not going to tell you to think happy. i know what it's like. but seriously, try to talk with someone. depression can get pretty bad, and has led to a bunch of suicide and self-harm.โค๏ธ
I know how you feel. I get it. you don't want to tell anyone and neither do I honestly. If you want to talk, we're all here.
as someone who's been through this/is going through this here is my thoughts...1. your mental health and happiness should always be your first priority, find what makes you happy and do it. 2. You need to know the line when adults need to get involved which is different for everyone, personally, that line for me is when I actually do self harm or an really suicidal which I haven't gotten to yet. however, your line could be much earlier than that depending on your relationship with your parents and self. Whatever number I am on now I forget: you will not be a burden on your parents, depression is a serious matter and I can assure you that they want more than anything else you are safe and happy. Feel free to message me on your main or on this account, I'll always be here for you. Stay strong
as hard as it is, I honestly think you should tell someone. not necessarily your parents (cos idk what your relationship with them is like) but a trusted adult. for example there might be a teacher at school, a friend's parent, a close relative. Or even a really really close friend who might be able to help you get the assistance you need. Depression is very serious and is not something to be overlooked. As I think most people have already said, depression can lead to things like self harm + suicide/being suicidal. I'm not saying that everyone with depression self harms or is suicidal because that isn't the case, and not everyone who self harms or is suicidal has depression. It's just that they are linked in some cases. Feel free to talk to me if you need/want. Stay strong, xxx ๐

I'm so sorry you have to go through this, hon. If you don't want to talk to your parents, you should maybe try online counselling? Some of them are free, private and available 24/7, like thehopeline.com. You should definitely speak to someone before the problem gets worse. Also, always remember that you are important, loved and born for a reason. Stay strong, I'm here if you ever need someone to talk toโคโจ๐
