actually in the case of philandro castille that WAS ruled a homicide and the cop got time. some of these incidents are true showings of police brutality but so many of them we don't get the full story. according to statistics from the daily wire white people have been shot more by police then black people. I'm not saying it's good these people have lost their lives. they shouldn't have. but the campaign Isn't all right either. nobody likes fox bc of the fact that it isn't all liberal tho it's getting there. when I say media don't just mean news channels media means everything. the things that have the most influence like tumblr Instagram and Twitter. we never ever get the whole true story from news or social media
my mainpoint on my post was simply how I don't like posts like that. saying all white cops just want to kill black cops bc essentially that's what the posts Instagram caption was
I think you may be thinking of a different case, because as of a few days ago, Officer Jeronimo Yanez (that man that shot Castille,) is on administrative leave, and I couldn't find anything on google that said he was ever arrested, although it did just happen a few weeks ago, but I doubt he will ever go to jail. And yeah white people get shot more, but that's because black people only make up 13% of the population. According to the Washington Post, to get an accurate measure, you need to adjust for population, and when you do that, black people are 2.5x as likely to be shot by police and in cases of unarmed victims, black people are 5x as likely to be killed. A lot of people do like Fox News (and trust me, it isn't getting liberal at all, but it is coming under fire for the scandal involving the owner assaulting a bunch of female news reporters), but their average viewer is 68, and of course social media is contains younger kids, and millennials are more liberal. I will agree with you on tumblr tho. I don't even like to look at news on their, it makes me feel much more conservative than I am lol. But yeah, a lot of the mainstream media is owned by billion dollar corporations, who definitely have their own interests in mind when they decide what to broadcast. That's why you've got to go to a few different sources and piece together information.
