i asked someone to tie something for me yesterday because my brain was fried after a long week and asked "can you not tie a knot?" and i said "i could if i tried real hard" she scrunched her face and asked if i tie my shoes; i laughed and pointed to my velcro sneakers. she looked so alarmed and offered to teach me how because she thought i'd somehow made it 16 years through life without learning how to tie my shoes. bless her though she was so nice about it
