Happiness is when you're doing something you love, or when you're with someone you love. Joy is the feeling you get when you're doing that thing/ with that person.

Joy and happiness are synonyms. They are bound together by what you are doing and you feel better when you are experiencing them both, if that makes any sense.

joy is short lived and happiness is a lifestyle

I think that you can get happiness from a lot of things, but you can only get real, authentic joy from eternal and spiritual stuff.

i always thought they were pretty much the same thing. the definition of joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness... happiness is litterly in the definition. really. you can google it. there could be a difference though. i could be wrong.
