It’s kind of a hard concept to explain since I haven’t mapped it all out yet, but all I can say is: interdimensional hotel. so basically it’s a hotel that spans across several dimensions and acts as a hub to connect the other dimension in it’s system? sector? idk yet. And for the plot? Um...that’s still a work in progress, but some of the dimensions are on the plane of the Earth (meaning that part of the dimension is on Earth) and there’s a bunch of portals on Earth so I think half of the story will take place on Earth and half of it will take place throughout the different dimensions.
