okay this is probably going to be long, so get ready. so 2 school years ago (5th grade) my best friend left my school and we really haven't been talking a lot since, but her birthday party is next weekend and I'm really scared. (i haven't seen her since December. also keep in mind that we were like BEST BEST friends) she now goes to public school which is a lot different from private and I'm scared that we aren't going to click anymore and the friendship that we once had will be gone. when I text her she seems a lot different and a lot more loud and outgoing, and the thing that made us friends is that we were both kind of quiet and shy and "outcasts" (we met in 3rd fade btw irrelevant but true) so I'm scared that we won't get along now because we seem reallyyyy different. another thing is that at her birthday party, her other public school friends will be there who've ive never met before. i usually don't have too much of a problem becoming "friends" (as in being friends for one night), but I have a problem with saying interesting stuff. I'm a really boring person at first (because I'm about as open as a closed door) so all I can really be is nice and say the same things over and over again. also, public school kids are really intimidating and scare the living daylights out of me (I sound like such a mom). and I'm pretty sure they swear and I'm an innocent butterfly who does not swear so we'll have to see how that goes. and finally, I'm kind of easy to push to the side and to make a third wheel. which sometimes I don't mind because alone time is great, but at a party it sucks. so I'll update you. bye.

okay so you're like in 7th grade? okay so I'm like... three-ish years older than you so I don't know how the kids are these days. but I get what you mean. public school kids can be bad, but your friend used to go to a private school. there's only so much she can change. and even if you are a innocent person, it's not that bad. I hope things go well💕

I feel the same way - I'd hide in the bathroom at neighborhood parties because I was so afraid of public school kids haha. good luck. I feel the same way about the third wheeling thing too. hopefully it'll go ok? idk I'm bad at advice

also @caption there's only so much an introverted person can change. you can't change whether you're introverted or extroverted but you can change whether you're shy or not, so maybe she's still introverted but she's not shy anymore? idk I'm just trying to help lol. also, with the public kids thing, I can only speak from experience (my public school is in a vv good school district) I wouldn't be too scared of public school kids cuz I know some private school kids and they don't seem that different so I wouldn't be worried about that. I can't say much about the swearing tho cuz, if that stuff bothers you, you wouldn't be able to stand my bus lol but maybe it won't be so bad. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry so much about it fren💜I'm sure it'll all be okay and just take deep breaths and small steps. you'll be okay fren💜ily
