I've felt that way before, when I played Mrs. Flannery in Thoroughly Modern Millie. For me, it was the fear of failure that was making me shake in my shoes. It wasn't stage fright- I perform dances all the time. It was just the fear of letting down my peers and teachers and fellow actors, and mostly, my director. Perhaps the part your playing, since it's a big role, is overwhelming you bc there's a greater chance that if you flub it, the play will collapse. Maybe my suspicions are wrong, but that's what happened to me when I was minutes and moments from the big show.
^^^^ THAT'S EXACTLY IT!!! I was literally told once that I should go over my choreography bc I was dragging the song. It's gotten better since I posted this but there's still a lot of doubt in my head. Again thanks so much for lending an ear
also sidenote: I love throughly modern millie! that's so cool!
Mhm, no problem! And I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the show too ;D
