ok so, since I'm a freshman, relationships these days in high school aren't trustworthy or worth it. so at my freshman orientation, I met this guy named Ian and he's SOOO handsome and sweet and sporty, and I was thinking to myself "omg I hope he's in my MaD classes (3 periods of advanced classes)." it turns out that he was, and I basically have been crushing on him ever since the first day of school. and like two weeks ago, he started walking with me from my 3rd to 4th period class because my BFF walks with her BF and I'm usually lonely lol. and he's been doing that everyday from that day. he also knew my birthday was coming up, so he got me a stuffed penguin and lots of candy, and I thought it was just a friendly gesture. then when I went to 4th period, (Ian sits next to me and his friend, chison sits behind me) I kept asking what he wanted for his bday cuz it's also coming up, and he keeps saying he wants nothing. when I asked chison, he kept saying dumb stuff like a couch and a toe, then when I asked again, he said "you know what he would love to have? the letter N" and I asked why and he said "idk Ian won't tell me why" and from my peripheral vision I could see Ian blushing and since my name starts with an N, I think he likes me

so after 4th period it was lunch, and while I was walking out I told my BFF, jasmin, and her BF, Chris, about the whole N thing, and they also think he likes me. so I didn't believe them and decided to ask Ian's best friend if Ian does like me, and he said "u didn't know that? he's been crushing on u so hard for the last two months but he was scared to tell u. u didn't know that? a lot of people already know" and by that point I was dead and jasmin and Chris were just jumping up and down of how happy they were when they found out Ian liked me. but I'm not sure what to do now when I get back from break. should I let him do the first move? should I ask for his number? go to one of his basketball games? hang out with him at lunch? I have no clue what to do and I need ur help me:( thank for listening to my rant btw 💖
