As she dwindled down the cobble stone pathway, paint in shades of melancholy, accented with desolation dripped down onto her. What was only a drizzle, soon exploded across the stone. With such speed, she rushed down the pathway which had no end, her innards stained in such colors, her complexion completely dry. Concealed for not long, but to long for it, the paint seeped out, for it wasn’t paint at all. It started pouring out of her eyes having nowhere else to go. At last, faceless faces slowly started to turn in her direction, silent they may be, but their voices rang in her head. Her mind moved quicker than her feet, flying across the pathway, her feet stumbling behind, but both were slower than the shades of melancholy, accented in desolation, which covered the endless cobblestone street. There was no edge path not covered as she herself was covered, inside out. Her body held her prisoner, her skin, suffocated her. But to everyone else, she was just a girl, dwindling down a cobble stone pathway.

Emilia ran to the door which had the most commotion behind it and screamed at what she saw.

inside, was a tall, pale grey shadow that was almost invisible, with spindly limbs and from what she could see, large teeth. she started backing up, but the door swung shut behind her. her breath grew short and panicky, and the shadow was casually finishing up its work.

"hello?" Tomas cried as he scrambled to his feet. "a little help?"

izzy made her way, and saw a shadow near Mia, she blasted it with her fire, “gET THE HECK AWAY,” she yelled, shooting more fire towards it.

Shadows overtook Alton. He let them. What should he care? He was stupid. People would be better off without him.

Gemma felt weak. She stumbled along the hallway as she struggled to breathe.

Gemma made it outside and collapsed next to a tree.

Rohan didn’t want to hurt anyone. She did her best to keep the shadow harmless while she studied it, and figured out a way to stop it.

Tomas huffed as people let themselves be taken over. he thought he probably would too, except he recently went on a date with the girl he liked, and was really looking forward to date no.2, and she probably wasn't into shadows, so ....

Emilia woke up and tried her powers but they wouldn't work. she choked back a sob. "what have you done?" she asked the shadow.

“hey! what do you think you’re doing?!” Gemma ran in after him.

"I turned off your powers, just to test," it hissed. "I might give them back later, depends if you behave."

Rohan took human form. “Yeah. It’s muted, though, like under water.”

Emilia felt her head start to pound. "b - but I need them! you can't take them away!"

Malia turned the corner and saw a bUnCh of shadows. She was very confused in where they were taking the people but she snuck around and followed them

Tomas started rattling on his cell door.

Alton’s shadow couldn’t decide what to do. It wanted to destroy these puny humans. Alton was tempted to give in. But he saw his friends and he couldn’t let it do that. The shadow flew up, towards the sun. It released Alton, and he fell, limp.

the shadow swayed. "you're very attached," it pointed out.

“wait, what’s happening at the school?” Gemma asks confused.

Rohan noddEd. “Maybe.” He shadow took her again, and it was stronger.

Rohan became shadow again. She knew she could win. Her love was stronger than its hate, for just as there is no darkness, just an absence of light, there is no hate, just an absence of love. Rohan mentally gritted her teeth and the shadow screamed.

"WELL, I CANT, OR THEY'LL EAT ME!" he shrieked and knocked them back, but they picked themselves up and kept coming.

Izzy smiled at Ryan, “bonjour mes amie,” Izzy held out. a bowl of salad towards him, “salad?”

izzy looked at callum, “who?” she asked, as she watched Ryan leave to help her. izzy stuffed a mouthful of salad into her mouth.

izzy facepalmed, “you didn’t even ask for her name?” she asked, eating her salad.

izzy glared at him, “no need to be rude about it, sheesh.” izzy said, as she stared at her salad, not wanting to eat it any longer.

“fine then.” izzy shrugged, she chucked her salad into the trash can. (oH iZzy why would you throw away your salad) izzy grabbed the last container of ice cream, and began stuffing her mouth with it.

izzy turned and saw callum, “you don’t seem to care quite a lot, so why follow me here. I’m the least of your problems.” izzy told him, holding herself so she wouldn’t cry. she refrained from picking up some sticks and hurling them at him.

izzy gulped, she sat down on the grass and sighed a seat next to her. “my brother died.” she said quickly and quietly, still unable to believe it.

izzy nodded, a tear escaping her eyes. “i know.. have you ever lost anyone?” she asked quietly
